The Duke of Norfolk

This is quite feasible and the only TRUE way of gauging....

Recommended Posts

the fans opinion on the big management stay or go? debate.

Why don''t the board print up ballot cards, put one on every seat in the ground and then get every one to either tick yes or not to NW for manager for next season? Then at the end of the game or at half time the cards could be put into ballot boxes?

Fairly simple really and that way your would get a true reflection of fans feelings so there would be no minority/majority arguments.

Why the hell don''t the board do something like this?

It might be because they have already decided upon the course of the action and such childish gimmicks serve no purpose other than to appease the less bright amongst us.

The club has stated quite clearly that Worthington is not leaving and that no action in that department will happen till the end of the season.

It also looks as if they maybe taking a few that any drastic action now will be deemed as bowing to a minority of ill informed hotheads and binners on a wind up.

Not a way to run a serious business at any point.

If this really is the case, the Club could always come out and say that, ''by mutual agreement'', Worthless will be leaving at the end of the season (cf Sven Boring Eriksson) and that the search for a new manager will begin in due course.

I could just about cope with the above outcome.  It would mean dire football until April (but the season is over anyway...),  but it would also mean that Worthless wouldn''t be dealing with who''s in and who''s out next season...

Somehow, this boil just has to be lanced.  The relationship with the Club is becoming worse and worse.

"City1st" Are you in any way related to MadDan? Your insulting style is similar to his.......

Why suddenly come on this forum to defend the board/ management etc? Where were you when the discontent first appeared? Club employee or Director perchance? Or easily pleased? ;~)

Weird!!, I was thinking about that subject this morning. My idea was for NCFC to issue a ballot card when they issue season tickets for next season, the whole thing could be run by the Electoral Reform Society to ensure a fair vote, but then I though nah!!..........the club may not like the answer, in any case they have made it clear they do not really care what we think, they just want us to pay our money and keep our opinions to ourselves.

The problem with the board bowing to what the fans think is that the fans DO NOT run the club. We may not like the decisions they take BUT it is their job to take them not ours. We are quite entitled to let the club know of our unhappiness with the current situation and ,Quite frankly there is a lot to be unhappy with. Where the problem arrises (IMO) is that with the massive increase in the vitriol aimed at the Board and Manager via the internet they cannot allow themselves to be seen bowing to pressure from people with an axe to grind. What will happen if / when Worthy is sacked or leaves? If the new manager is not one that the fans want will the protests continue? Or if the new manager can not get us the good start we all crave next season will the calls start for  ? out . Of course they will because we got our way once didn''t we? so we can get our way again! we will show them who runs our club!!

The board know this season has not been good enough and I am sure they will do what is required to improve things BUT no board of directiors can allow themselves to be bullied into making changes because, just like in the playground if you allow the bullies to win once then you lose control for good.

Back off and let them do their job, It will give them space to do what is required.

From my persepective I was merely suggesting a ballot that gauges how happy paying customers are with the service that they are being provided.
