Why did Sargent come on rather than Sinani then?

As I stated earlier on a different thread, it really shows how poor our squad is when you’ve got Sargent and Hugill as back up strikers to Pukki who clearly seems unhappy too

Why is everybody suddenly forgetting about Adam Idah? He's pretty much ready for a return to first team action after several U23 games.

Can't be ready soon enough for me. Probably our big hope now, the way Pukki is playing I think he could take his shirt.

Probably because he's ****. If we're pinning our hopes on Idah then my god... 😂

I doubt Idah will be taking Pukki's shirt but I would imagine he will be playing alongside him when he is ready.

Giving a new £9M signing a few games at the start of the season is perfectly reasonable. Persevering with the same player a year later when they've proven to be as effective as a wet piece of toilet paper is something altogether different. Same with Rashica.

£8m, and lets not forget, Hugill was £5m and Farke had input on signing both. One was for the championship, one was for the premier league.

What choices did Farke have ? wasn’t Idah injured and Hugill on loan

I presume he chose to loan out Hugill?

Both Farke and Smith saw Hugill in training on a daily basis and both seem to think he isn't worthy of a place on the bench. Farke decided to get rid of him for a season and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Smith does likewise. I don't have a problem with either of those scenarios.

Re Sargent the club needs to decide if he's a winger or a striker, he can't be both. It's a shame we've invested so much on a player with such limited ability. Sinani should have come on against Hull, it seemed the obvious change to make really.

With both Farke and Smith playing Sargent when most of us cannot see why, were and are these managers being forced to at least include him in the match day squad by Webber?

I hope not, but who knows?

Dunno. Danel looks a bit .. stodgy?? Sarge more all-action, knees & elbows, likely to disrupt a defence. If only he could shoot though ...
