But solid championship players don't always make the best premier league players. In fact, it would seem that Championship title winning teams don't always make the best premier league teams either... Last time round, that didn't stop Pukki still hitting the back of the net reliably, or the addition of Gibson helping our defence. Though it did take time. After this number of games we had one point, after five we had four points.

If by 'last time round', you mean the 20/21 season, we certainly didn't have one point after this number of games because we beat Huddersfield on the opening day. There is always one player everyone things the manager is stupid for not playing. He wouldn't have helped today. He doesn't get into the positions Pukki does, so there's not even an argument to say he would have scored one of those chances. Youre wrong if you think he wouldnt have made a difference in that last 10-15 mins. Just coming back from the game and what i saw im that period was players getting to.the byline and repeatedly drilling low crosses onto a forest of legs as we had no aeriel presence. He would have at least offered a target for a high cross Edited August 13, 2022 by GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary

We did lose 2 of our opening 4 games though. We then went on to lose only 5 more games that season. The difference is we had Buendia and Skipp. A win v Huddersfield will put us even with that season. A massive week for Smith next week and I hope Webber has already pointed that out to him in no uncertain terms.

Yarp sorry, gaff on my part. We won one, then drew one, then lost two. I'm not suggesting we will necessarily have a repeat of that season, but we could still have that many points after the same number of games. It is also worth noting that Cantwell played the first two and Buendia only the last of those four fixtures. Edited August 13, 2022 by chicken

Red_Spartan 18 Posted August 14, 2022 The Sky clip shows why Max booted the ball in the way he did. He was being treated for a head stoppage, sent off field waved back onto pitch & went full tilt to the ball to whack it off field the way he was facing. Kenny prevented an almost certain goal in the first half with a sliding interception, for which he was congratulated by his team-mates.
