It was either him or Sargent

Then Smith can't even make a good decision on a 50/50 choice.

My mistake.

No worries - it’s not really a believable story at present

Well done the pen takers apart from McLean, well done Gunny.

Set piece coach, pull your finger out.

Penalties are set pieces right 😉

Remember when Darryl Sutcliffe missed a penalty and never played for us again?

Shame if history repeated itself.

Hope not, midfield was instantly better when McLean came on.

Thats a damning indictment of the players who were on before that.

Would of been ok with 2-2 and a pen loss this evening, all about game time and getting a few in the onion bag

I don’t recall Sutcliffe . Did he have a brother from Yorkshire?

Or McLean just isn't as bad as some want to make him out to be, and he has 2x championship title medals plus being regularly picked by two experienced managers and coaching teams to back him up.

I suspect he will be a mainstay in our midfield this season, although Gibbs will be a player.

Agree. I’m genuinely happy for him and Gunn tbh. I can’t explain why but I’d like Sarge to come good for us as I like his industry. If he somehow became a bit of a Kuyt type player I’d love it. For Gibbs to back himself as well is great. I think he more than deserved his place today in that side

The more games the better for us...as gives more real game time for youngsters and players build up knowledge of patterns of play.

On the stats alone we deserved the result. Not getting carried away but still great to have another cup game.

Hull lost tonight. Think we can get a result there this weekend.
