Yes. It’s such fine margins but we created at least 3 good scorable chances if we’d made better decisions. Moments change games, we fluffed ours so far, could have been very different.

First 25 mins I was convinced we’d score and the floodgates would open. Since they scored it looks like we’re one bad moment away from 2-0 down. All the air’s gone out of the players and the confidence has crumbled. We needed the first goal. Can’t rely on the crowd getting us up now, the players on the pitch will need to provide the lift.

You can literally see the confidence flow out of this team whenever they concede. The first quarter showed how much better we are. But mentally and defensively so so fragile

Agreed.  Something going on there, as ordinarily he'd always make the right choice.  Wouldn't be surprised if he's a little frustrated at having to slum it in the champs again, and that's affecting his decision-making.

Exactly right. That first half was a good representation of where we are. There's a good team in there somewhere, good players at Championship level all over the pitch. But so little confidence at the moment, at both ends of the field. It's both baffling that we're not 3-0 up and completely understandable that we're 0-1 down.
