Had that with RVW, that ended well

I guess the marketing team need to do their job but that adds to the expectation on him.

Not sure this will do anything to a fan's expectation level. RVW's marketing campaign probably played a small part but I belive that most of the hype back then was fee + his scoring record at previous clubs. I think we're more mature a fanbase now, the novelty of silly money has worn off (untill we hit the 15m up front incomings i guess).

Meanwhile the club unveil what was the deciding factor in bringing Sara to Carrow Road.

"He wanted reassurance that we would make him a big player, our biggest player in fact. How could we not agree to that sort of ambition" Webber informed fans at a Q&A at Everest basecamp earlier today. The Sherpas were all nodding in agreement.

I suppose that’s true, people were excited regardless. Was quite a memorable campaign with the whole “feed the wolf” theme though and pretty epically backfired.

I think with Sara he’s more of an unknown quantity like you say not as exciting, that’s why plastering him 40ft high on the outside of the stadium seems a little premature. I meant more the expectation on him set by the club to the fans, which I suppose on reflection does draw parallels and seems a little risky.

I’m pretty optimistic and hopeful he’s going to come good though.

So's Jeremy Corbyn, but I doubt he would help out in midfield

Not sure he would know who Thatcher is. It was a long time ago on the opposite side of the world.

Plus he'll be rich soon enough, so won't want to be eaten.

Since when do ambition and the boy Webber belong in the same post?

After all, it was he who disparagingly said Norwich City were the football equivalent of Vauxhall Motors.
