Syteanric 1 Posted March 3, 2006 According to todays EDP worthy will "see out his contract" at NCFCRemember doomcaster saying Nigel is on a 12 month rolling contract???? well that means that come May/ June then Nigel wont be in the employ of the club anymore! hoorah!of course thats if the club were telling the truth! and indeed if worthy isi personalyl feel this is a huge mick take of Worthy saying that to the fans, he says he has no intention of quitting then says he will "see out his contract".. i reckon hes on a 3/4 year deal.... so of course he''ll want to see it out.. he knows the club will have to give him a huge Payoff if sacked which they cant afford..Worthington has had the club by the gonads since day 1 and this proves it...jas :)

For example he may have a 12 month rolling contract for a duration of five years.
Syteanric 1 Posted March 3, 2006 so forgive my ignorance... just how the hell does that mean we get rid of him??? techinally he could be here forever then????? surely ofdfering a 2 or 3 year concrete deal is better as u know where it stands when it goes wrong?jas :)

So the payoff would actually be relatively small. How much can he actually be on do you think? Please leave Worthy I''ve really had enough!
sheded 0 Posted March 3, 2006 Nigel gets fired , he`s due a years salary ! .... somehow I just get the feeling its not that simple , who knows what the deal really is ? a one year rolling contract for public consumption , a two year rolling contract behind the scenes ? .... maybe more ! if its the latter it might explain the boards reluctance to have a " chat " with Nigel
Oso Butch 0 Posted March 3, 2006 Jas:This was my reply to an earlier thread today:This is the downside of Worthless being given an ''evergreen'' contract, as it''s known in the trade. What this actually means is that there is no end date to it i.e. it is not for a fixed term. It literally runs for ever (unless it specifies a retirement age, like 65....) and can only terminated by 12 months'' notice, whether given by Worthless to the Club or vice versa. If Worthless were to resign, the Club need not ask him to work his 12 months notice, nor need they pay him anything; but if the Club gives him notice, then they must pay him 12 month''s salary if they don''t want him to hang around. So, when Worthless says “I signed a contract with this football club. I am committed to this club, to my job and I will honour that contract" what that actually means in practice is that he will NEVER go away unless he''s fired or he resigns. There is literally no end point until his retirement date!!I do begin to wonder, however, if he and Skipper aren''t doing their dirty business in public here - first one to blink is the loser... We can only hope.
SarahPeck 0 Posted March 3, 2006 I found out is on a 1 year rolling contract so he shud go @ da end of the season. Knowing him i will predict that he will decide 2 stay. Throughout da season i have seen performances that aren''t worth remembering and the performance from da team against Crystal Palace was disgraceful. Any1 who supports me in wanting Worthy out are fab and shud join the protestors outside da City stand. I''m a non-season ticket holder and my Dad pays one hell of alot of money 2 get me there but he''s just wasting his money as the team and da Worthy aren''t performing. Get your act together Worthington or u won''t see us next season.
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted March 3, 2006 It really seems to get rid of hime we have to pay a years salary. And Nigel is not going to resign no matter how bad it gets. Honest Individual eh.....my arse..He will leave this club under such a cloud it is untrue.. I mean look at blackpool, the fans pelted him there and he was given a police escort from the ground during his final month in charge....
