James Maddison

We get 15% of the profit over £24m so it can go as high as it likes.

What we do with the money is another matter.

Hopefully a cb who can fill in when we get the inevitable injuries and suspensions.  It’s a role they don’t currently think is needed according to pinkun journos.

Well, here we go.. And I mean of course he want's the move- Heard Newcastle are offering him almost double the wages he's on right now and given he's being paid 100 grand a week at the Foxes and all..

A year on and the 34m for Buendia looks a great sale when you see an established Leicester team only getting 40-45m for Maddison who is far more proven in the premier league

If Leicester are prepared to sell for £45m then I can see a whole host of clubs coming in challenging for his signature, starting a bidding war. £45million for James Maddison is an absolute bargain.

Looks like a catastrophic sale when you see the dross we bought with the money!

Very true - I still believe with Skipp and Buendia last year we would have gone down though 😞

Leicester could play hardball as they normally squeeze buying clubs for every last penny. Harry Maguire went for £70m so you’d think they’d want near that for Maddison.

Need it to go high enough to balance the Leicester books and leave enough left over to sign Emi as a  replacement and hand us another sell-on cut there as well – Webber’s a genius 😇

It's on the BBC Sport website, Rogers has come out saying Leicester need to balance the books, If Newcastle increase the bid a couple of million more I think they might get Maddison.

So when a wealthy club like Leicester have to sort their finances and balance the books, seems like more clubs will be following our model and self finance or fail.

It was £80m for Maguire and they're asking for the same for Fofana, who Chelsea are trying to sign. Schmeichel is leaving and Tielemans has one year left on his contract and seemingly won't sign a new one, so he'll either be sold or leave for free next summer.

All in all, it looks like they need to sell before they can buy, as they're the only club in Europe's top five leagues to have not signed anyone yet.

Or possibly the fear of having your every move published in The Sun doesn't help attract or retain players.

Great Scott! £80m for Maguire, well done to them.

And he still looks baffled by it too.

And he is excellent in dead ball situations. 34 for Emi was great work for the bank balance, for the team, not so much.

Agreed, would be a great move for him - Leicester have lost a lot of their spark and become quite ordinary since winning the title. m One of the few teams I'd be thinking we could get 3 points from last season - so that says it all really.

The adoration at Newcastle fans will bring the absolute best out of him.  He really deserves to be in the spotlight more.
