Anyone watching this and thinking that Cardiff are actually outplaying us are really delusional. Their "play" is to "play" us not the game. And so far it has worked. It has worked primarily because the officiating has been so bad. Half of those players who got yellows, should already be on yellows for persistent and deliberate fouling.

To give an idea, it should be a straight yellow for pulling a player back. We have seen it repeatedly and it has gone on largely unpunished. The ref has seen it because he's been giving free kicks for it.

They appear to be kicking my stream every 2 minutes as well

Thank goodness Sargent off. Against nothing opposition he does nothing. Complete waste of money and we have better alternatives that should start.

Surely Hugill has to play  apart against the side he played for. And score!

Sargent only fell over once all game - result!

If he can cut out falling over completely, he can upgrade to a goal post.

Getting out played by Cardiff is embarrassing

I can't say I find it especially embarrassing. It's the start of the season and Cardiff is a solid club. If we suffer a 1-0 away loss against them on the first game of the season then it's nothing to get overexcited about. But there are still 15 or so minutes left with them a man down, so no need to wet any pants just yet.

Surprised Gibbs is on rather than Hernandez. Onel is the player most likely to have a chance of mixing it up

I'm not, it's the middle that's problematic, not getting there to out wide quick enough, need someone more capable of passing the ball about. Gibbs, being young, and going on preseason, is not scared to try and find passes from the middle. We need that now, we need to move it left to right, switch it quickly looking for the space created by that extra man.

I really have no clue how Sargent has got this far in his career

At a guess, because he plays for a National Team who lack decent strikers.

The fact Gibbs has come on makes me think Smith wants to keep him around, not send on loan.

I said he was L1 standard after his first game. Plenty of heart. And I so want him to come good- but just lacking in terms of skill

Here comes Hugill.

Pukki looks injured.

That's fine, we have a "bloated squad" so we have back up just as good in this league... Right..... Right!!????
