Club announces Canaries TV live match streaming

Looks fairly standard to me.

Love how they keep stressing the price is fixed by the EFL- very much not interested in having people moan about the cost!

140 for international season pass, very happy with that

Might be best to go for a month by month to begin with to see if we are any good!

If a choice between this and sky subscription, people may prefer this and cancel the sky subscription and watch those games at the pub. If that happens it may not help the long term finances.

If on holiday abroad presumably need to buy again unless the VPN works in which case the difference between home and international will be exploited.

I know this is an EFL rule and nothing to do with the club, but why is it that games selected for international broadcast are not available in the UK? They're not live in the UK, so why can't they be shown on Canaries TV for UK-based fans?

Unless I'm missing something, that makes no sense.

I guess it's something to do with the 3 o'clock broadcasting rules?

But it's specified that, for example, the Cardiff game is unavailable in the UK because it 'has been selected for international broadcast'.

I would understand completely if it were unavailable because of the 3pm Saturday blackout, but the club has given the 'selected for international broadcast' line as the reason.

Like I said, I have no idea why that should affect the possibility and legality of making the game available for UK viewers.

So we're not actually being told which games will be broadcast on this service?

Or at least not until the week beforehand or something?

Just so I’m clear, as a UK viewer do I need to get the season pass (£50) to get access to the live games (an additional £10 a pop)? Or can I just buy access to the live game as and when at £10 a pop?

I think that the £50 pass is for audio only.

Unless we can buy every game this will fail. Bespoke game availability is the future. This is almost the future and yet very much a behind the times miss.

Here in Norway the cardiff game will be on live tv.

I also had a look back on norwich last two championship seasons. And it seems like we have had 15 or 16 games live on tv here in norway. Obv a few of those were also on sky.

I hope this is useful info.

Do season ticket holders get this free or still have to pay?

No it's not included as part of the ST package, you have to pay extra.

You can pay £50 a year to listen to radio commentary. The world has gone mad.

No different to websites behind pay walls really is it?

Will you still be able to listen to games on Radio Norfolk?

Yes - but only if you are near enough to get on the radio - IE not over the internet.

So am I right in thinking that I've purchased a home membership for nothing then? Last year that got you commentary, which is why I renewed it when it came through... but now I have to pay an extra 50 quid on top of that to get commentary? Living in Lincolnshire, I don't get radio Norfolk.

Yep. Last two years in the championship we’ve been on the international 3pm match 10 times plus about 10 on sky so you’ll only get half the games live.
