I hear what you’re saying but almost feel the opposite. I think it’s more concerning to me that the same issue has been re-occurring multiple times rather than various separate issues or knocks. That could all just be impact related or plain bad luck. It also doesn’t really matter too much that his injury record was good prior to the knee problems, if it’s a problem that’s complicated itself and it’s worsened several times then it’s going to take longer to heal and still potentially give residual weakness even when ‘fully’ fit again. Eventually it turned out to be 12 months, and somehow- I'm absolutely not sure how as I really haven't behaved well enough in the ensuing 17 years- I've never re-injured. This being our genuinely tough month still applies but I’m mostly encouraged by news that Gibbs is back in training. He’s certainly more likely to get up to speed soon than Hayden was, so this is the real takeaway news. It’s going to be up and down this next few weeks. norfolkngood 1,086 Posted September 30, 2022 i have my doubts over Hayden it is not looking straight forward injury otherwise i am sure he would have been back playing we have been told he was injured then back training but not playing at Newcastle mainly down to them signing players then might of had a break ? then knee flared up again in Pre season i have no medical knowledge like the staff here but we have all seen these things happen before when players are never right again with knees or serious injuries hopefully he is one of the ones that recover Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

That honour currently goes to Neil Emblem.. although he did end up making a handful of appearances.
