Good move for him though pick of the next available Championship job with a team with a bigger budget than Huddersfield.

Now if only there was a big championship team with high level connections to Huddersfield with a manager who will be under the pump from match one…….

Hes gone.

They probably can't give him what he wants and needs to deliver another season like they've just had. Massively over achieving. Go out whilst your stock is still high, won't be long til he's in another job for sure.

It's a clever move from Corberan. 

As other have said above, he's leaving whilst his stock is very high and realistically he's not going to repeat last year's success especially with a number of key players leaving. He'll then be very high up on the next top Championship job / lower Prem job to next appear. 

Certainly many would like him here if Smith doesn't start well.

I've seen Leeds fans on social media calling for him to come back. They haven't really taken to Marsch and still adore Bielsa, with Corboran obviously being one of Bielsa's right hand men when Leeds got promoted. I doubt they'd go back down the Bielsa-lite route, but if Marsch starts the season badly then you never know.

He has certainly transformed Huddersfield during his time there. 20th to 3rd - quite a transformation.

He also tightened up their defence. From being woeful in defence (e.g. our 7-0 thrashing), they became one of the strongest teams defensively in the league. He also made them very good at set pieces, something else we badly need as a club and didn't improve at all during last season.

Can't see him back at Leeds as a coach, he left to become a manager with the idea he'd replace Bielsa long term but with Marsch there now and being backed massively it's just not going to happen.

It depends on how they’re doing. Their fans still love Bielsa and were not impressed by Marsch’s style of play (or rather lack thereof). They’ll expect things to look very different very quickly when he is playing a new core of expensive players he has existing relationships with. They as a club live off the “unique” Elland Road atmosphere and if that turns poisonous are only going to back him so long.
