Dennis Man weren't anything special either then

Recommended Posts

26 games, 3 goals, 1 assist this season

Squad player for a mid-table Serie B side, and out of the side towards the end of their season.

Even the players we failed to get from Webber's A-list weren't any good 😜

Great sleuthing

There but for the greed of his club’s owner.. we’d be talking of Dennis Van Manwinkel

Parma's coach from November onwards played a 3-5-2 system and Man was generally stuck at left wing back, which probably explains why his output was so low, and I'm not sure if he had ever played there before. I saw Parma's home game against Lecce and paid attention to him, and he did look quite dangerous going forward but ultimately the game ended 0-0.

Also, Parma had a shocker in general. They had by far the highest wage bill in the division, nearly double the second highest apparently, yet still finished in the bottom half.

Hope Dennis Man, as mediocre as he so obviously is, still has a smaller turning circle than that fire engine

A tangent, but this is also why Josh Martin seemed to fail at MK Dons- Martin left and his replacement favoured a back 3 system which left no role for Martin.

Martin played a back 3 for most of his time at MK and has continued to do so at Swansea. Whether he planned to change it or had an idea for how (Josh) Martin would fit in which the new manager didn't I'm not sure.

Maybe we will return for him at a potential bargain price,  but need to move a few on first.

Maybe we could give them Hernandez, Placheta and Hugill in exchange 🤣

Bit harsh on Onel to group him with Placheta and Hugill... if it were grouping by football intelligence it would be valid, but at least Onel is an athlete. Still not convinced that the other two would look out of place at King's Lynn. Hugill must have the best agent in world football.

On ability I would put him with them 2.

Definitely has more of a football brain than Placheta but I'm not sure that's too difficult.

Hugill is a low end, long ball lower end champ player/league one striker.
