This is what I meant when I said our board don’t know how lucky they are we reacted with mild indifference to being relegated

Where are the police with their tear gas and pepper spray?

The UK government bought it all as a gift for Priti Patel.

Absolutely shocking, it is so sad that the fans see relegation is being the ‘end’ of their club, instead of part of the journey.

So incredibly moronic. Could easily maim or kill someone.

Killing someone over football for any reason is insane.

Given the end of the clip shows the pitch invaders suddenly turn around and start running back, I'd say they were on their way.

One thing you can say for French police is that they don't discriminate, they are quite happy to tear gas and water cannon anyone, anywhere.

I'm sure there's a "The French are revolting" quip to be thrown in somewhere.

I know we've got our some issues in our country right now, but France has had some serious problems with fan violence this season...

If their Police are setting an example, then it's hardly surprising.

It's France. The French look at their police with a disdain only matched by their Police's views of the French.

Anyone who has seen May Day in a large city there or had the joys of watching the anti gay marriage protests would know that fighting the Police is a national pastime.

Situations like this is why there should have been stronger messaging to ticketless Liverpool fans before the final not to travel to the stadium on Saturday. With the way things are in France at the moment, there really should have been more work done to advise on what to expect from the French police if there was the slightest whiff of trouble. It is a country that is split right down the middle in terms of politics, with tensions often being displayed in public arenas. Another warning to all in the first world.

I know we like to knock our own country and the Uk is far from perfect my in my view France has some very serious societal problems in many of its major cities these days. In many places some suburbs are basically lawless no go zones.

And its creeping into their football grounds as well.
