His tactic is far more nuanced than this! He moves on slowly and allows all stories showing he is a criminal to bumble in without much comment, so when they rumble on there are enough people with short attention spans already bored by the story that they’d rather move on just through being mildly irritated by repetition. 

BJ just rinses and repeats and let’s human impatience do the rest! I genuinely believe people right now watch the news and think ‘do we REALLY have to have ANOTHER update on Ukraine? You’ve been banging on about that for weeks’

If Webber's strategy is to try and let it blow over, then that is a mistake on his part and the board's. 

I suspect there may be a lot going on behind the scenes and an announcement will be made a some point in the not too distant future. Nobody wants a Canaries TV interview. 

As Archant are currently being frozen out, then they could try to turn up the heat on Webber and force the issue.
