When Smith gets the boot in October, and he will. He will go down as the worst manager in our history.

I don’t know why we aren’t just pulling the plug now before we inevitably have to bring someone in to pick up the pieces.

Agreed. What I really want to know though is did he have a mug of tea on the go tonight?

Even worse than Bryan Gunn?

The only people left who still think sacking Farke and replacing him with Smith are the ones who made a song and a dance about what a great move it was and are struggling to admit they're wrong.

We all know it was ****ing stupid now. Some of us knew it at the time.

It wasn’t stupid to sack Farke. He was terrible in the PL and there was nothing to suggest that he could change it. It was completely the correct decision.

It remains to be seen whether Smith was the right appointment and I think we’ll see that either way in the Championship. The two things aren’t linked together.

Of course he did!

Yep, statistics will prove that too. Gunn won 4-0 v Barnsley instantly makes him better 😁

How dare you post something sensible, that’s simply not allowed.

Isn’t this what Norwich fans have been crying out for for weeks? Apart from Gilmour none of the loan players started, brought on young players in Springett and then Rowe. Sorenson, Rupp, Giannoulis all got some time.

This is what you all wanted, why aren’t you happy?

Because no matter who he picks, what substitutions he makes we play rubbish and lose. I see no improvement whatsoever and I certainly don't see a team getting promoted.

I've come to the conclusion that whoever our manager is, the problems lie far deeper. Would we be in this situation under Farke? I think so. To suggest otherwise ignores fairly substantial evidence otherwise.

We said the same last time we were relegated.

Last time around there was still a bit of magic there with DF, this time I can't see anything there that suggests promotion next season.

First half gave me some belief we can compete well in the EFl. A spawny opener although we were under the cosh and we fall apart.

Obviously Rogers said something at half time that improved Leicester. What did Smith say? What is it that we cave in when we lose a goal?

It doesn't really matter who was siht in midfield or dodgy at the back, conceding goals is a collective responsibility.

Those who believe in the mantra must surely realise there is a fundamental problem with the club. Whether it is recruitment, coaching or inspiration, from the Board, through the Sporting Director to the Coach and players, we are doing something wrong and unpopular. And when our luck runs out I wonder where we turn to.

You look at the body language of Smith and Shaky and they look clueless. What a horrendous appointment. Just our luck fcuking Villa kick him out right when we have a vacancy.

The only reason we appointed him, totally clueless decision I’m afraid.

I've said I thought we'd still have gone down. But like this?

No way.

This has been utterly dreadful.

West Ham no wins in 5. Leicester no wins in 7.

We're abject. Utterly atrocious.

Of course you are correct in saying this. It lies far deeper. There is at the very least one guy ultimately  responsible for this train crash, ON and OFF the pitch

In years to come when people review the long pantheon of Norwich City managers, Farke will feature highly. Dean Smith probably won't.

I understand that it sounds like a sensible response. However Farke was exceptional in the championship. Neither Smith nor Daniel have done anything in the Premier league.  What has Dean achieved in the lower league compared to Farke? It indicates that we have regressed imo.

That's harsh. If Dean Smith goes on to lead us to promotion next season and then keeps us in the Premier League, he'll be remembered more fondly than Farke.

I was hoping we were playing Saturday because I'm off to the Rugby but I see its on Sunday so it is likely to be more anguish. Wolves have lost four of their last five so along come us.

Farke's last 5 games = 5 points and sacked.

Smith's last 5 games = 0 points and safe.

It is not ridiculous to suggest DF would have made a better fist of it than this.

Two things to consider.

Do you still think Kenny is the worst midfielder at the club?

If you want Smith sacked what do you think any manager would do with this squad of players? (which he is not responsible for assembling)

Regarding the bit in bold, that - at least for me - is a classic sign that the team's confidence is shot. The longer such a team can stay in a game, the more belief they get... but then such a set-back hits them disproportionately hard.
