Whoever you select, whichever formation you choose, this is the worst midfield 'squad' for many a season. The worst in the Premier League by some margin.

Let's see how we do against a fairly lacklustre Leicester team, but for me we need a complete overhaul in that department.

This team is Smith’s picking, what the F—k deserve to lose

It’s not his team though

They're giving the pitch a thorough watering, I look forward to our lot slipping over as usual every 2 minutes 👍

Leicester forum even more negative than us.

"Fofana late omission"

"Norwich 9/1. Got to be worth a tenner "

"So when Rodgers said a few youngsters could be involved towards the end of the season the emphasis was on the word could"

"Would have kept Daka in the side with him having scored on Sunday - a game against Norwich is a great opportunity to kick on. "

"it`s got to the point where im sick of seeing Tielemans in the team.  The guy is going to be gone next season, and in truth probably wanted to be gone this season, he`s certainly played like it.   Tell me, what is the point in playing him"

"This guy is being trusted with a rebuild and he's signed 3 players in the 11, 5 in the matchday squad"

God, how utterly depressing must have that season been?

In years to come you’ll just have to mention the name “Billy Gilmour” to get a full on rant.

fu£k him, fu£k Chelsea and fu£k big club loans. Never again. I’d rather watch a young kid of our own and cheer them on through any mistakes they make.

So two players are chopped at halftime because they’re so ….. then pick them in the next game

I think it’s tough for Smith because the players are really inconsistent. PLM and Rashica have games where they play really well and then some games like West Ham where, as you say,  they are so bad they get hooked at half time.

Smith does not have many options and he’s putting them out there hoping for their better performances rather than last weeks.

I can understand dropping Krul, he’s had a few poor games in a row now and really chucked it against West Ham. Gunn deserves a shot and Krul will know that.

Leeds are a goal down and Daniel James has been sent off. Looking ominous for them.

Tony Springett has shown more energy in the last 20 minutes than most of our players all season and I’m loving it

I actually thought this after he was asked in an interview and he didn't say "yes, for sure, I'll still be here". Something more along the lines of "I'm not thinking about that now, I am focused on this season. I'll think about that come the summer."

That may match up with the world cup being in the middle of next season and him needing to play as high a level as possible to retain his international spot. Another reason why such a concept for an international tournament is just full of issues that backhanded corruptness saw to override.

Were the tournament to be this summer, it's likely Krul would be selected and be part of the Netherlands squad for it.
