That's harsh. If Dean Smith goes on to lead us to promotion next season and then keeps us in the Premier League, he'll be remembered more fondly than Farke.

That's a big if.

Big If.

Another IF is IF we get a better coach we might well see the future in a better way.

Two things to consider.

Do you still think Kenny is the worst midfielder at the club?

If you want Smith sacked what do you think any manager would do with this squad of players? (which he is not responsible for assembling)

Yes I still think McLean is dreadful.

I seriously doubt he will last that long.

Would love to be wrong but he doesnt seem to have what it takes. If we are nowhere by Xmas we will be looking for a replacement.

I didn't say he was good but he certainly is better than some who have played recently.

He's our best midfielder, which goes to show exactly what our problem is.

That has to be the most speculative post I’ve seen for a long long time

Instead of looking at all the negative things from this season let’s look at all the positives . . .

Yep, statistics will prove that too. Gunn won 4-0 v Barnsley instantly makes him better 😁

And he signed Grant Holt. Smith took January off.

Well a positive thing was we were allowed in to watch the games. Sadly it also feels like a negative.

I've come to the conclusion that whoever our manager is, the problems lie far deeper. Would we be in this situation under Farke? I think so. To suggest otherwise ignores fairly substantial evidence otherwise.

It’s the owners, it’s always going to be the owners. The amount of staff we have had at this club who are unable to keep us up with the poor backing they get each and every time. It’s just a joke.

Ehh? This board is full of posts about Farke doing better than Smith.

I'd say that is far more speculative than me saying Smith might go on to be more fondly remembered than Farke.

Mentally this squad has had enough.

With the ghost of the previous PL campaign looming, we really needed a good start but covid and the fixture computer saw to that. I think the squad is the perfect storm of young, inexperienced, written off or ptsd from last time that we never found respite for long enough to build our resilience.

You can see it in players like Aarons + Pukki tonight who both look like they've run a 10k before kick off. They're shot to bits. It's why an untainted youth like Springett looks so refreshing.

It's about as speculative as saying Thursday may arrive tomorrow.
