The Independent next to be barred from interviews?

Recommended Posts

Quite a critical analysis from the Independent. I wonder if Webber is no longer talking to them anymore either?

Slippery slope, Stu. Slippery slope.

Edit: calling Webber the “Neil Warnock of Sporting Directors” is a great line due to the opinion many hold about Colin on here!

Reads as though it's been written by someone locally and sold on to the Independent. Not Mr Popular is he.

Maybe Mr 90% is going to go to into exile on everest.. so he doesn't have to talk to any press anywhere ever again. A kind of I'm taking my ball and going home approach.

Indeed it does. National coverage is unlikely to be as close as it reads. The club should be aware they can’t just put up the shutters.

IMHO he's been very badly let down by the players. He's done himself no favours mind, with all his "climbing Everest" and 90% nonsense, but he could have expected the 4 loanees in particular to be better players than they are, as well as at least one of the £8m gambles to pay off. The fact that none of them have done anything at all apart from look pretty clueless is as much of a surprise to him, I suspect, as it is to a normal supporter.

I don't think he'll move on. I think he'll wait until the season is over and then start to try to rebuild trust with the media and his reputation. If he does move on without doing that, another job in football above League One is going to be difficult to get.

Just as a comparison, last night we witnessed a team valued at something over £600m completely bottle a Champions League Semi-Final, with a complete lack of an onfield captain or any leadership being visible, including from their bench. Players sometimes don't deliver, despite their apparent quality.

Is there any truth in the rumours the builders are due to arrive at Carrow Road any day to start work on the bunker...long table already on order? 🤔🤣

Off topic I know but have to agree the Manchester City comment. I think the same has applied to us for years. Liverpool have 3 or 4 players who clearly hate losing. Manchester City have a more gifted team but not a 'captain' among them. Even Grant Holt in his prime would have got them through that game.

As he's not born here he can just cross the Waveney without turning to ash, surely?

Do you know the difference between a goldfish and Stuart Webber?

I do know that a goldfish mucks about in a Fountain.

Do you know what the similarity is between Webber and a pregnant goldfish…
