Midlands Yellow 4,682 Posted May 4, 2022 This should be a cracker. It will be interesting to see what we’re up against if and when we make the top 4 in the future.
king canary 8,754 Posted May 4, 2022 Nowhere near as fun as the 1st leg but that is a lovely finish by Mahrez.
Google Bot 3,929 Posted May 4, 2022 (edited) Grealish to score winner in final, and we'll have to put up with how justifiable his 100m price tag is. Shame, as I'm already bored with Liverpool v Man City. Edit: oh hello, Madrid just pulled one back. Edited May 4, 2022 by Google Bot

Midlands Yellow 4,682 Posted May 4, 2022 (edited) 7/2 now to qualify for the final. I’ve had a tickle on that. Edited May 4, 2022 by Midlands Yellow
Pyro Pete 2,353 Posted May 4, 2022 Just think. In a few years, this will be Newcastle being beaten in the latter stages of the European Cup. Money doesn't always buy you everything.
Ken Hairy 4,272 Posted May 4, 2022 Weird ending, ref didn't play the full 3 minutes injury time there.
cambridgeshire canary 7,797 Posted May 4, 2022 Man City bottling it in the champions leauge? Never 😉

There was supposed to be a good 12 or so seconds left. Also ignored a ton of fouls against city was very clearly biased towards Madrid. Lost his nerve to the crowd me thinks Edited May 4, 2022 by cambridgeshire canary
SwearyCanary 1,340 Posted May 4, 2022 Ref was pretty poor but as irritating as it is, it’s a little bit nice to see Man City get treatment that any team below 6th gets in the EPL. Must feel strange being the lower profile team in a contest but it’s something I take pleasure in seeing happen to the big boys
duke63 739 Posted May 5, 2022 Pep blew that one. Took off too many big players thinking the game was won.
HazzaJet 267 Posted May 5, 2022 (edited) That result could prove very costly for Man City. 15 mins away from sealing a place in the Champions League final, then bottling it. It might cause them to slip up in the league. Edited May 5, 2022 by HazzaJet

sgncfc 1,330 Posted May 5, 2022 Very poor substitutions from City, very good ones from Real. They brought on youth and pace, City brought on old, slow and Grealish, who is just not the right player for them. How can you spend over £900m and still not be able to close out a game like that? Yes, the ref was totally appalling, but over both legs City were by far the better team and should have strolled it. Very poor management.
