astro 423 Posted April 25, 2022 (edited) I saw that Rob Newman was in the crowd again Saturday, and was present for the Burnley game. I’m sure he’s been at others but can’t remember which. Currently plying his trade at West Ham - possible Webber replacement? Edited April 25, 2022 by astro
Kenny Foggo 1,194 Posted April 25, 2022 probably looking at picking up a bargain... Pukki for £3m?

Capt. Pants 5,011 Posted April 25, 2022 So Newman is going to leave West Ham for Norwich? Not sure why he wpuld to look at any of our players though, possibly Pukki.

He’s head of scouting at West Ham, so surely a sporting director role is a step up? He has a fair pedigree. has worked with Howe and now Moyes, as well as having stints as team manager. canarydan23 4,762 Posted April 25, 2022 (edited) Has he ever actually moved out of Norfolk? I regularly spot him in the city. Even when he was at Man City I used to see him at Greens gym (now Nuffield) all the time. If he and his family are still based here, I think a Sporting Director role at Norwich, with the autonomy our Directors provide, would certainly be more attractive than head of scouting at West Ham. WD40 726 Posted April 25, 2022 Oh no…don’t do it to me. Please don’t give me the hope as this all sounds grand. I wonder how adept is he at fishing in the bargain basement bins where we are instead of dropping, I don’t know, £30m on Kurt Zouma.
canarydan23 4,762 Posted April 25, 2022 Former team-mate of one Mark Robins as well. Could reunite to form a managerial dream team.

The man responsible for signing Cuellar, Hooiveld, Miquel, Lafferty, Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe etc And selling Surman for £1m who would then go on to play 100 premier league games. Cant wait.

Cant wait. In fairness Cuellar was a decent squad centre back and he bought in Jerome and Grabban. Agreed though, I often play rare Norwich City player Top Trumps with my mate and often play the hand of Ignasi Miquel and Carlos Gutierrez 😁

As much as I'm not keen on Webber at the moment, Adams feels such a retrograde step. I have a feeling Webber knew exactly what he was doing when he appointed him.
