72 years in the football league gone

Recommended Posts

And to think they were in the Championship a decade ago and yet here they are now relegated to the National League.. Yet another reminder that things could always be worse for us, much as we can moan about Delia..

So Delia sells and we end up in the National league ? That’s a bit of a leap CC 🤣

Any time scale on this ? Are we talking  weeks or months ?

Not quite what I'm implying, just pointing out that all in all her having a lack of money is better than the state that various clubs have ended up in when they have replaced their owners.

Surely nobody moans about Delia? That is just disloyal.

Nah, not once has anybody on here ever moaned or complained about her what so ever 😉

I've never moaned about her lack of money but more that she treats us / the club like her toy, she constantly belittles the club and she presides over a stale and out of date boardroom where new faces are hard to come by.

Is that the same boardroom where a new member was appointed last month?

You mean that "new face" who has already been at the club for a number of years?

Weren't S****horpe debt free until recently? Lack of ambition 😉

Bit of a stretch to bring Delia into this.

Comiserations to the club and its fans. Can't be nice.

I thought they had met at the Merchants of Spice a few weeks previously.

A  mere re-arranging of the deckchairs  Greavsy as that particular new member has been sitting in the boardroom for a few years just under a different title.

Shame, I hoped they would survive.

S****horpe, an excellent club and a credit to the footballing world.

Said person was an employee who was appointed to the Board purely to 'streamline' decision making as you well know. Any 'fresh ideas' from Ms Ward / Webber would have been put forward anyway irrespective of sitting on the Board or not.

This is ridiculous. S****horpe overachieved to reach the Championship. Plenty of other clubs such as Luton, Carlisle and Oxford have also been relegated to the National League and later returned. There are no similarities between these teams and us.

The other news from todays games is that the Binmen are 11 points off the play offs with 12 points left to play for. Next game is Rotherham away. 😂😂😂😂😂👍👍

In the natural order of things, without any kind of sugar daddy bias, S****horpe are really a team that should fluctuate between L1 and L2 in terms of club size, etc... A shame for them, but hopefully for their sake it will be like our foray into L1 for a year.  Hitting the Champs for them I'd liken to us qualifying for Europe through league position - not impossible, but highly unlikely.

Easter Monday 1957. Ipswich Town 3 Norwich city 1. End of season

1st Ipswich Town 59 points

24th norwich city 31 points.

Fortunately ncfc got reelected or it would have been southern league. Unlike gateshead a couple of years later who are still to return.

So we have been s****horpe and I for one would rather be going to Rotherham next year than say grimsby.

Thanks Michael and delia.
