To all you Worthy outers !

Recommended Posts

I''ve been a Norwich fan for about 18 years now and have been looking through this forum. Why the hell do you lot get on Worthy''s back all the time ? It''s not his fault when we lose games,it''s the players. If you lot are there shouting worthy out and booing the team when we win (Brighton) do you really expect to make the players feel 100% confident/motivated ? The fact is that we were playing premiership football last season and everyone including myself thought we''d bounce straight back up again, but, that has''nt happened and looks unlikely of us making the play off''s aswell, but come every game we should all get behind the team and manager not against them, then i''m sure the results will come ! So there Wink [;)]

The players fault??

“Nigel is the most important man at the club, he is the man responsible for what goes on. It''s his job, full stop." - Dave Stringer

It is Nigel''s fault not the players.  This is his team as he keeps on telling us....  The reason many protest is because we feel that Nigel Worthington is the reason the side is so badly underacheiving (not a single weak in the top 6 this season).

He has had 40 games to improve things and I see no signs of improvement in any area on the pitch.

you well behind the debate mate.  every week we have cheery ''get behind the team posters'' who think singing a bit of green and yella army will get us through  -- funnilly enough they are unheard on match days, could it be when people actually watch the team they feel uninspired and simply remain silent, then go down for a half time drink on 30mins?the crowd silence is a message to those who want to hear.

Not Worthingtons fault ? what a ridiculous statement . A Conference level manager nothing more , he was ruining Blackpool just the same as he is Norwich only they saw the light and sacked him.

I sincerely hope for all our sakes you''re right, Herts. Because if you are wrong and Worthless is still in the hot seat, we could miss out on the chance of promotion for several years yet. On the other hand, sack the boring buffoon now and instal a half way competent manager in his place, then maybe, just maybe, we could return to the promised land with the help of some of that £6 million parachute payment.

HertsCanary said "The fact is that we were playing premiership football last season "

Well i would just like to correct you on that,   WE WERE NOT PLAYING PREMIERSHIP FOOTBALL  we were just in the premiership last year!  If Worthington had gone at christmas that year we may well have still been there.

A conference manager! I think you are being rather generous there Tic Tacs, I wouldn''t trust him with control of Blofield Utd

Oh yes I remember those. Do you really think that a manager is the difference between City now and seeing City back in Europe? If you do then your far from the reality of this world.Ofcourse we all want to see City doing well and challenging for that sort of thing but the club needs to progress as a whole. We need the money to spend on players and the fans to back them. As some of you have said you havent backed the team at all this season! Is it just the management that needs a change?

I don''t know Herts...  If it is that bad then he needs to be sacked for putting us in that state of affairs to begin with.  With so many quality players we should be playing far better.  I mean, Huckerby can fire you into the top 6 alone regardless of the rest of the team.  It might not all be worthys doing, but in the end he has made innumerable mistakes these last two seasons and the playing side of the club IS his responsibility.

It is the players who are losing the games however the two major issues for me that highlight Worthy''s guilt are:

1. Tactics and positions: Worthy seems to be undecided on the best formation and also the best positions of several players.

2. The players: This is Worthy''s team that he has built, it is his fault that we do not have specialists for every position as he seems to rely on the flexibility of players to be able to play in any position. This smacks of the ''jack of all trades'' mentality and is why I do not believe we can challenge for promotion. He also seems to make poor decisions in the transfer market, he has obviously made a couple of great signings but what manager couldn''t spot the potential of Ashton or the effect Hucks would have in the championship? What worries me more is the buying of players who struggle to get in to the sides that we should be competing with. I would rather see Worthy taking more of a risk in buying players from lower leagues who are the big fish in thier respective ponds.

Cicckerdee, i mean leading the prem by 12 pts at xmas , with a team that hardly cost a bean , it was done by a coach with football in his head . his name was david williams , but of course you did''nt know any of this ,  you just thought it should happen  to norwich city by right . your man good old nigel. seems a long way off doing anything never mind leading the league.     In the good time , We can name the team that would play ,week in week out , O.K. chickerdee i will bet you an even £100 you can''t name the side + subs for sat at leeds.  Come on game on  .
