There's a young midfielder called Dawson Devoy in the League of Ireland Premier division, who is 20 and is one of the most highly rated youngsters in the division (He Won last year's player of the year award for the whole of ROI). He plays for ROI U21 and for Bohemians, and has made nearly 50 Apps over 3/4Seasons. He recently rejected a move to MK Dons in January. Would he be a good signing for us?

Probably. Would he want to join us is the real question

Anyone remember us signing a promising young striker called Cole Lambert?

Also, is omotoye or Dicken peters doing well on loan?

The League of Ireland Premier division is quite a lightweight league which is comparable with our national league in terms of skill.

Sinani was playing in the Luxembourg Top flight and there and LOI are both roughly a much of a muchness, and a few seasons later he's doing well in the championship. Devoy is also two years younger than Sinani was (when we signed him).

Read the whole of this article, it seems the pipeline that got us Idah, Omi and Hondermack has been all and truely discovered by others.

We weren't the first club to discover that the LOI has talented youngsters. Home Farm F.C. formerly Home farm Everton, springs to mind as an example of what I'm getting at.

Probably seen the Hondermack situation

6 appearances this season in the league... all before the turn of the new year. The only one since then was in the FA Cup on the 8th Jan.

That the situation you meant?

Yeah, the situation where he doesn’t play for our club anymore after a solitary appearance…

Because he wasn't good enough, or maybe he looks at Idah & Omobamidele and sees that as a good career path.

Paul McGrath, Steve Staunton, Seamus Coleman, Roy Keane and a certain mercurial Shelbourne midfielder all plied their trade in the League of Ireland before carving out impressive careers in England.
