East Rider 538 Posted March 21, 2022 Norwich City have a 1pc chance of staying in the Premier League, according to one football think tank. FiveThirtyEight's latest statistical modelling paints a gloomy picture with Dean Smith and his squad heading back to the Championship. It hardly needs the number crunchers to tell any City fan what they have seen unfold this season is a continuation of a depressing theme from the last time they were in amongst the high rollers. Albeit the predicted 24 point finishing haul in that analysis would be three more than the abject offering in the 'Project Restart' period under Daniel Farke. Are they right? How many points do you see City harvesting from the final nine league games that start with a trip to Brighton on April 2?
AJ 1,218 Posted March 21, 2022 I certainly don't think this squad is any better than the squad we had under Farke. Different issues perhaps, but no better. Still can't score enough goals, and can't stop conceding them. I do think 1% sounds generous, absolutely no chance having gifted Leeds and Brentford 3 points apiece
TheGunnShow 5,807 Posted March 21, 2022 We've got two chances, slim and none - and slim's looking anorexic. 1

If wed kept Howie.. 187 Posted March 21, 2022 i guess its approximately the odds of us winning 5/6 out of the remaining 8 games.. not impossible, but unlikely...

Don’t be Krul 396 Posted March 21, 2022 You don't need a calculator and in-depth analysis to work out we're sh1te. 24 points? That's 7 from 9 games. We've got 17 from 29. If we get to 20 that'd be an achievement
alex_ncfc 643 Posted March 21, 2022 I don't think it's unrealistic to think that we will finish the season on 17 points...
Gibbo 131 Posted March 21, 2022 7 losses on the bounce, so losing another 9 more in a row isn't out of the realms of possibility... Smith is a non entity, so get rid now and get someone in who can assess what to keep and what to get rid of for next season, and to give us some football identity back.
