I remember both testimonials. The city was buzzing with the Celtic fans for Tim Sheppard's. Happy times!

I seem to remember that, didnt they bring down something like 5000 just for a testimonial? Maybe I misremember the number but they were certainly loud and in good spirits.

They were absolutely brilliant in the city that day. In amazing spirits and really friendly, plus consumed an enormous amount of alcohol. Great stuff.

I think it was more like 9000.

What an atmosphere they created.

Cracking day in the pubs and in awe from kick off onwards. That is what a football ground is supposed to sound like!

Ajax v Feyenoord in the Johan Cruyff Arena  with the roof closed was incredibly  noisy, flares , thunder flashes,  fantastic singing.Louder than Motorhead.

I was at the O’Neil match. Duncan Forbes played a few minutes, Trevor Brooking scored a cracker and late on Gunn & Fleck swapped positions

Should we be giving Alex Tettey a testimonial? It got all Ballsed up because of covid but surely he deserves one

I went to.the John O'Neil testimonial

I remembered Gary Lineker but I also vaguely recall Lee Chapman and Lesley Ash being there.

Also remember the night Fashanu ruined his knee, I think Robert Fleck may also have made is debut in that match?
