ged in the onion bag 855 Posted February 13, 2022 Well, would suggest we are much more organised to defend and are clearly working hard but some of the powder puff tackling leaves a lot of questions. Platcheta, Gilmour, McLean and Sargent all need to be stronger.
cambridgeshire canary 6,716 Posted February 13, 2022 Having some of the poorest owners in English football will do that. We can't exactly compete with teams worth hundreds of millions more than us. Money talks.
lake district canary 4,531 Posted February 13, 2022 Going down with a fight? Or maybe fighting to stay up? Semantics, but the season has not been decided yet and if we are fighting and manage to eek out a few points in the next few games, we are in with a shout of staying up.

What is the point of any chance of going straight back up where you simply cannot compete!

I would say we are on par with Everton, Leeds and Brentford. but the first 10 games killed us

keelansgrandad 6,679 Posted February 14, 2022 It is looking more likely as each game passes that the bottom three are drifting away. Of course there is still hope and miracles do happen but I still maintain we take each game as it comes and go from there.
Ulfotto 632 Posted February 14, 2022 This season was always going to end with. 1) Relegation without a fight 2) Relegation with a fight 3) Staying up by the skin of our teeth. To suggest otherwise is/was laughable. All 3 are still on the table. Since Smith arrived 2 is now more likely than 1 and 3 although still unlikely is now not totally impossible.
