king canary 8,758 Posted February 3, 2022 So, some context. I've not been able to go to Carrow Road for a few years due to pandemic/various other commitments. My wife is now pregnant with our second child which means my ability to get to games is going to be further reduced pretty soon. So I'm hoping to get one more trip to CR in before the baby comes. I've heard people say that due to Covid and cancellations etc you can often get tickets on the actual day of the game. Is this the case? Has anyone had experience with it? It's a 90 minute drive from where I live to Norwich so I don't want to chance my arm if the odds of actually getting a ticket are really low. Any insight much appreciated! FenwayFrank 2,717 Posted February 3, 2022 I’d phone the ticket office a couple of days before a game, if it’s just one ticket you want I would say it will be odds on you’ll get one

Branston Pickle 4,150 Posted February 3, 2022 (edited) It depends from game to game, and also on how many the away side brings, but the ticketing site still shows spaces for the Palace game (and Citeh/Bees). Even if it is showing as sold out, it is worth checking back every now and then as (what are presumably) s-t returns go on sale later. I missed my son’s ticket sale date for Man U, but managed to get him one in the week before the game. Oh, and congrats btw - perhaps name him Dean if he keeps us up?! It is extremely rare for a game to actually sell out. If you turn up to Norwich on the day of the game I can almost guarantee you that you'd get a ticket - you might be waiting in a queue outside the ground for a while, and the seat probably wont be where you want to sit, but you'll get a ticket. I am basing this on discussions I've had with the club by the way.
wcorkcanary 4,784 Posted February 3, 2022 Can only speak from personal experience, but ive always managed to get a ticket when ive wanted one, no connections, just phone ticket office , and if not available , phone again later. The only time it messed up for me was when I was given a ticket amongst Huddersfield fans....that was fun when we went 2nil up.😉😇👍

If you're just after a single ticket there's normally not a problem, my mate is a police officer so is often on shift, but when he's not he often manages to get an individual ticket, only exception so far being Man Utd at home. Also, just on the off-chance drop me a PM when you're thinking of going. One of my mates has changed work and for now has to work some saturdays where he didnt previously, so sometimes have a seat going next to me (how lucky would you be?!) 😄

WD40 726 Posted February 3, 2022 I’m in need of a ticket for the final home game of the season at spurs for 2 people. Got a relative desperate to go and travelling from overseas to be there, but I can’t guarantee I’ll get tickets. I don’t think there’s a way to guarantee I’ll get one until they go on sale end April

Dr Greenthumb 794 Posted February 3, 2022 I’ve never had a problem getting a single ticket. Stopped taking the wife after we had that god awful Rhodes penalty against West Brom and she was tapping me staring at the other end of the ground amazed there was a holiday inn there whilst he was taking it!

Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man 4,620 Posted February 3, 2022 There are always several tickets on the morning of the game, and often in the days leading up to it, if you check at 9.30 when they're released.

I am basing this on discussions I've had with the club by the way. That is mainly because they have been far more efficient at processing buy-backs this season, so even when tickets are sold out on one day, a few days later more appear as season ticket holders sell them back.
