Still bitter about Pukki's goal v Spurs

Recommended Posts

Especially when stuff like this happens and the goal stands.

Personally I think this one should be given, but Cavani's head is a lot more offside than Pukki's single strand of armpit hair, but this one stands and ours didn't, presumably due entirely to the shirt they were wearing.

I loved the “Theres will always be teething problems that need ironing out”

seems like they ironed the s41t out of some teams and not others

what a little coin-ki-dink that was eh?

just watching the Man City Southampton game. 2 back to back VAR calls that took forever. They seem to look very closely for the big teams and not bother at all for everyone else.

Yesterday's game was the first time I think I've seen VAR give a decision our way without the referee going to the monitor to check it for himself.

Haven't they relaxed the VAR offside rules a bit now? I thought they had thickened the lines. The bit about it still having to be a part of your body you can score with remains I think, so his hand doesn't matter there.

The Vrancic brilliant vision and pass to put Pukki through and Pukki's movement to get onside before making his run was textbook football - a beautiful goal.  The best goal we never scored, to rank alongside Jeromes overhead against Palace. Robbed of two fantastic goals through officialdom nonsense - both of which could have changed those seasons.

Stop using sense and pointing out that people are comparing different rulesets when they want to complain.

Personally, I'm bitter about all of the times the opposition passed the ball back to their goalkeeper and he picked it up(!!!!!!) between 1902 and 1992. Must have happened thousands of times and it was never once given! Just goes to show that the bigger teams always get the decisions and there is clearly an agenda against us.

Funnily enough I was thinking exactly this yesterday after watching Cavani being ruled onside. Had Pukki scored that this season, would it have been given? A real shame, was a spectacular goal
