*****The Official Lapps Match Thread v Everton(PL) *****

Recommended Posts

This is the game that must be a win and a good win, not necessarily lots of goals, but well deserved. Then Watford might seem possible.

Lose and its like the bad run will never end.

Genuine question- has there EVER been a weaker midfield in a premiership match than Sorenson and PLM?

Matthew Oakley and Andy Todd might give them a challenge..

Not much in it though…it’s so far short of what is required at this level

Interested to see what Sorensen is like in a midfield two and a more box to box role. That midfield still looks weak though. “Big squad” eh Deano!

I don't get the "big squad" comment. We always seem to be down to the bare bones, and although we might have numbers, we certainly don't have quality.

Maybe if they were all fit Smith might fancy thinning it down a bit to raise funds and create space to get "his " players in and start building "his" team

Cantwells grown an extra arm!

That'll help with throwing his toys out of the pram...

We have 5 players at best who are fit for this level consistently. A few more can raise their game on the odd occasion and cope. The rest are much of a muchness and lower champs level of sentiment is removed.

Big day for the pinkun forum sorenson fetishists.

Nowhere to hide now. In his best position and starting.

Let's see if he magically transforms from the footballer he is into the footballer you think he is.

Depends. Usually you give one a more steady role and the other more of an attacking one. I suspect he'll hold more than be box to box. PLM was that player for Nice last season so perhaps he'll get a shot at joining the attack more today?

Swap one of those for Gilmour and you're probably on for a winner

That's not fair. Mclean's being playing in his best position for over 3 seasons now and has never ever got anywhere near magically transforming into any kind of footballer, other than a cr*p one!

Not sure anyone has claimed he will transform us but they have pointed out he's our only natural defensive midfielder in the squad and hadn't really been given a chance in that position. Will indeed be interesting to see how he does today.

Andy Todd was a centre back like his dad (but a quarter as good)

Own goal but I’ll ***ing take it!!!

As they say, put a ball into the "mixer" and you just never know. Make it so the defender at least thinks they have to do something about it...
