Mr Tea 105 Posted January 15, 2022 I can but only imagine the difference in the changing room after that and previous games. sure it’s only one win but I would say it has the same effect on the team as it does us.

TheGunnShow 5,940 Posted January 15, 2022 A single win turns despair into hope. A couple more turn hope into belief. We've a long way to go yet, but it's good to enjoy a win for once.
Virtual reality 707 Posted January 15, 2022 Everything’s you can ask for in a performance at this level. Fight, passion, desire, urgency and the cherry on the cake three points. Idah, Williams and Hanley stand out but the whole team turned up and performed

The Great Mass Debater 1,090 Posted January 15, 2022 Isnt that almost 11 games and the end to a losing streak with a 2-1 win? We sacked the manager after the game last time that happened

canarybubbles 1,915 Posted January 15, 2022 In the first half we looked as if we deserved to be in this league. PLM seemed to work much better alongside Sorensen than alongside McLean - somehow the midfield worked. Second half, we lost our composure a bit and the old midfield weakness returned, but that's understandable given the awful run we have been on. We kept fighting, that's the important thing. And as someone who has been very harsh about Sargent, I have to say I thought that was easily the best game he has played for us, even without the 'assist' for the first goal. The injury to Max is worrying, and let's hope Krul was just coming the old soldier at the end and there's no problems with his shoulder.

The last time the Canaries dropped points in a top flight match when leading by two goals at half-time was on 4 November 1989 away at Arsenal (2-0 at half-time, 4-3 loss). I was there. It's only one game, I know, but Lees-Melou seemed to know what he was supposed to be doing today. Perhaps his role was much clearer being beside Sorensen than playing with McLean? (This is not an attack on McLean, I'm just raising the possibility that he and McLean are too similar to work alongside each other.)
