None of those things matter if that player fails to occupy the correct positions when out of possession. You can have a 90% pass success rate and still be responsible for giving the ball away in your own half leading to a goal. You can run the length of the pitch without getting goal side of your man.

I don't see anything wrong with the treatment that Billy Gilmour is receiving. I'm sure it's just from a small group of people. Total storm in a tea cup.

Personally, I want to see Billy Gilmour stay with Norwich till the end of the season. You learn more about a person when he's in the trenches, and he'll learn a lot more than if he were with a comfortable team just coasting it.

In the long run it'll be good for Billy Gilmour and Scotland. 

And if anyone thinks having Billy Gilmour is a bad thing, you're wrong. He might only be 20 but he has a European Cup winner's medal. Training with him will be great for every Norwich player, especially the kids. Gilmour might be a kid himself, but he's learnt from the best. His professional attitude will set a good example for the kids at your club and hopefully it'll rub off on them.

Before I go, though, I do have a soft spot for Norwich. I grew up watching Gunn, Goss, Sutton, Fox, etc, challenging for the title. So I have good memories of you lot. Norwich are a very good club.

This innocent little reaction to another inept performance, sparked a lot of traffic and debate. Having slept on it for a couple of days, I think Gilmour has got it worse, because the expectation and hype surrounding him was so high. So when he plays like a complete donkey he gets it in the ear. He’s no worse than the rest of the midfield muppets - the Mayor is very very average!!

You have to ask when this entire projection of blame and victim-like culture stops and the fans take a long serious hard look at themselves. Brentford are a prime example of fans who stayed behind and gave their team their entire backing regardless of the result yesterday. Norwich abuse and abuse with delusions of grandeur. As a player, would you seriously want to play in front of this fan base?

Brentford losing 1-0 to city is respectable. They’ve been respectable all season and earned the fans backing. We’re getting tonked week in week out buy all and sundry showing no sign of improvement anywhere.
