Monty13 1,624 Posted December 19, 2021 Was always a gamble of a signing. Inexpensive and didn’t come off, never mind.
Ward 3 315 Posted December 19, 2021 He's gone to Porto hasn't he?
Nora's Ghost 150 Posted December 19, 2021 Simani scored again so we should get a few bob for him when he is sold on.
curious yellow 184 Posted December 19, 2021 Scored 7 goals for Telstar in 12 games. 2 goals for USA in 2 games. Was recalled from Telstar and we decided he wasn't good enough in a few weeks. Pity we interrupted his good run and then dumped him. Has a natural ability, needs the right club.

I heard from an insider that it was his attitude and lack of patience for first team football / his development pathway which we didn't like, rather than his levels of ability. Soto felt he was above U23 football.

He got recalled as there was a window where we could get him a work permit so leaving him at Telstar wasn't really an option.

HazzaJet 210 Posted December 20, 2021 There was a lot of question over whether he was good enough. Another cheap signing who we believed we could bring up to make the grade. Sent out with an option to buy, but can’t see Porto signing him on a permanent deal. However, I can’t see him cutting it for us and am convinced for the remainder of his contract we will deal with him in the same way as we’ve dealt with Drmic: just try to get rid of him. Sinani has also been sent out with an option to buy. He’s done ok so far and if his loan doesn’t get made permanent, I think he’ll be ok as a backup for us next season if we get relegated
