Didnt Tzolis have 2 shots and a header. Bit unlucky to come off at half time. Thought he'd have been better to keep on than Sargent

I think he has the potential to be a really good player. He has good skill and ability but needs to learn better positioning and decision-making. Those things are definitely teachable though and he is very young.

Now we still don't know, he was taken off too soon imo. I would like to think that he may have done better than PLM in that one on one with the keeper, and the rather easy shot late on that curled beautifully into the keeper's arms.

Played far too narrow at times. Williams had it together with  Rashica Saturday but he was on his own tonight.

Age goes up not down, he was 19 when we signed him.

Classic!

But the boy is 'one of the most exciting attacking players in Europe' (said previous manager). Yet more complete drivel from him!. You know along the lines of Gilmour being a 'fantastic player' but then froze him out!

To be fair to him and Sargent we were so slow in our play they never had the ball to actually do much with! That midfield played like they did under Farke. Not fair to judge on that game.

Sadly, think Deano got it wrong there tonight.... Williams (completely ineffective as an attacking force) having no left foot kept taking the wide space first half instead of coming inside and letting Tzolis drop out and have a go at the defender, kind of crowded him out forcing Tzolis to go inside into the crowded box where he had no chance of getting on the ball.    Was crying out for Giannoulis second-half as Deano admitted, it was pretty clear we had no ideas or threat down the left.....

Everyone with any nous knows that against 10, you move the ball quickly and spread the play yet we took our wide man off.... No doubt S and S will have learned a great deal tonight.... what a shame our two left-backs have completely opposing skill sets, one brilliant defensively the other has quality going forward!

The chance Tzolis created for Sargent, what a miss!... that ball goes across goal and out of play if it touches no one.... terrible waste at this level.

Don't think this summer was the window to buy two raw prospects though, when we needed goals. That's about £17m spent on Sargent and Tsoliz and neither looks ready for this level yet.

Tzolis was decent against Arsenal and good against Bournemouth in the cup. Normally I think concepts like "adapting to the English game are widely overstated" but for a 19 year old coming from the Greek league it applies. He is no doubt talented, but he needs actual playing time to get into his groove in the Premier league

Quite the overreaction, Farke is that you?

The boy played just 1 half and had some good looks at the net. Norwich doesn't score many goals and this boy has the flair for the net. He's not shy with the ball and is very decisive with his actions. Go find your self a 19 years old who's got this much instinct and finish as him. He just needs 4-5 games, Farke literally locked him in the basement for 3 months.

Jeezus man how can people be so terrible at judging talent, unless of course you have an agenda how do you not see that hes an asset for this team.  He brings things Norwich doesn't have and is in deer need.

For me he looked ok and the new manager is playing hes cards very well. He's being extremely careful with the way he's using him and he's obviously going to start him more often. He played a second half on Sunday and a 1st half just 3 days later. Thats the equivalent of a full game basically.

He's obviously setting him up to become a regular in the teams so deal deal with it.

I thought that he was getting better as the half went on.

He had an attempt at goal in him, plus that bit of flair needed against a packed defence.

As it was, we faced 10 man Toon in the second half with the dreaded three in our midfield of McLean, Rupp and Lees-Melou (and Gilmore's passing was often delayed and soft, a few incisive, but failed, attempts apart.)

All three have their respective merits, have something to offer and always put in the effort but, collectively offer little invention and minimal goal threat. Injuries prevented Dean Smith from parading the flair members of the squad, whilst Cantwell's much awaited total re-birth, was probably thwarted as well.

Who amongst us wouldn't have preferred Tzolis running at goal with the ball at feet rather than P L-M for what was probably our best chance of the game?

I was surprised at that change and iniitially assumed Tzolis had picked up a knock. Smith still needs time to fully aquaint with the squad , no doubt.

In marked contrast to some of our other attacking players he does make things happen even if he was a little quiet. His header they hand balled was going in, he had a shot deflected over and he set up Sargent to miss from about a foot. Thought he did ok when he got the ball.

I'd go along with this. He doesn't seem to be in the game very much when he's on the pitch (that will come with experience and game time, I'm sure) but he does at least tend to get a shot or cross away quite often when he does get the ball.

Yes I think for all the praise we have given Smith and Shakey (and at least again they were trying to be proactive) they got the subs wrong last night. Sargent off was the obvious half time sub and Dimi on earlier was also obvious given our lack of attacking options on the bench.
