1902 1,167 Posted November 21, 2021 Yet another year goes by, yet another year where Ipswich fans tell themselves that their squad is too strong for the league as they put result after result together in a dominating display of how to come 10th.

They are now kidding themselves that the pyramid of suits and tracksuits behind the takeover, all with fingers in that very small pie, do not actually expect promotion this season and would settle for signs of progress instead. Really? Investors, whilst often going for the long-term, soon get cold feet when there is no upwards momentum at all on show. Their basic aspiration that money is to be made from the English game will evolve into panic once they realise just how deep their pockets need to be in order to chase the dream of making a silk purse from that pig's ear. cambridgeshire canary 6,675 Posted November 21, 2021 Makes me wonder.. What's the largest number we have ever had on a player? Anyone know? Right now it's I think Omo with
Beefy is a legend 224 Posted November 21, 2021 They are already getting towards needing 2 points per game just to make the playoffs. Their defensive record this season has been shocking. So many points thrown away from winning positions. Their constant languishing in that division is a joy to behold!

Number 55..? It was probably being used as a reminder of how many years its been since they were relevant as a football club 😉 (I use that term very loosely)

Apparently Tyrese Omotoye was number 53 when he made a sub appearance at Luton. And Tom Dickson-Peters was an unused sub wearing 57!
