Any source Kris?. I saw him on TV against Chelsea, and I wasn''t that impressed, wasn''t it his mistake which led to Chelsea''s second goal?.

Of course, conceding a goal against Chelsea is a cardinal sin, second rate cloggers that they are.

A mistake is a mistake, so all the more reason against Chelsea not to make mistakes Herb. And if he''s worth £1 million plus, I''d expect a million plus player, he, clearly on that performance, isn''t worth half of that.

As usual, when everybody on this board wanted Halford he was brilliant, now, rumour has it, he is "our player", he''s cr*p.

I never called him dogs poo my friend, just for the alleged money we might pay for him, I don''t think he''s that great, there is a difference.

As Colchester may well get promoted I''m not sure he''d come here anyway, just a feeling.

one mistake does not make a player bad...  31 matches worth of mistakes makes a player not worth the 500,000 we will never see again....  Christ is erny rubbish cos he put thornes goalbound header into the keepers hands...  Greeno fell over and the ball went into the net....

Maybe you are the NCFC scout that watched Etuhu for 1 match and thought he was good enough..

As for Halford, I dont think he had a great game against Chelsea I must admit, but his record is very impressive.  As long as he doesnt do any flicks tricks, show any skill and do anything that might net us a goal of course.

I was at the Chelsea game on Sunday and Halford impressed me in the first half.  He looked to keep the ball on the floor and pass to feet.  He also looked comfortable on the ball when put under pressure.  He did fade somewhat in the second half but I saw enough to suggest that he would be a good acquistion.  He''s 20 years old and should improve in the years to come.

Name me a player who has not made a mistake in their last game and that player will not been involved in the match.   Football is a game of mistakes and errors - its how frequently they are made that marks poor players from good.

I would be interested to see the stats for errors by players, passing, positional, tactical, judgement etc compared to say refs and you can bet that overall the refs decision making ratio will far exceed those of the players.

Halford is young, has some talent and will improve and is well worth a punt imo - he may prove an expensive mistake but he is showing something we are desperately missing - ability on the right flank.

Interestingly Kris I also heard the same rumour - that we have agreed to sign him at the end of the season - my source (someone from local press but not sports) suggested £500K down rising to £1.5M. Mind you he was somewhat inebriated when he told me which is why I did not post the ''info''.

Still, it makes one think.....................

i watched the chelsea game on TV and  i was quite impressed with halford. He''s big, strong, good on cthe ball and in the air and seems a really good prospect. I would love to see him at norwich.

I thought Halford looked good against Chelsea too, although probably at right back rather than right midfield I would hope

Wizard, remember Steve Bruces first game for City, he made a mistake and scored Liverpools first goal.

Halford is only twenty and has a lot of potential. He will improve at a good club with quality coaching. The £1million we would have to pay is not a valuation of his current worth but takes into account potential. Deano isn''t worth £7.2 million yet but West Ham payed for the huge potential he has to be one of the best strikers in the country!!
