Defensive Coach

Recommended Posts

I am sure that Webber will have noticed how Villa have struggled defensively since Terry left in the summer. Shakespeare has not plugged that gap. I wonder who, if anyone, will be brought in to address our obvious frailties in this area of our play.

It's definitely needed.

Just basic organisation would be a start.

And not everyone piling forwards at the same time.

Etc etc

Do we really want to bring in JT……. Great player, his knowledge and coaching record are great, his behaviour probably does not always help with team spirit.

"his behaviour" Must be almost a decade ago now?,  Do we not allow people room to change in society anymore?

JT hasn't got s**t on Gary Doherty. It's time for the return of the one and only Ginger Pele!! He could teach them a thing or two.  🙌

You'd think Dean Smith being a center back himself would be pretty good at sorting out defence.  But it seems that mentally he always fancied himself as center forward lol.

He'll LOVE Kabak, then? 🙂

Smith had a specialist set piece coach at Villa, although I think we have had as much of a problem from crosses from open play as set pieces.

It is true that the alleged Anton Ferdinand incident, Wayne bridge incident, the fighting in nightclubs, scrapping at Heathrow and taking money from an under cover reporter, all happened 10 years ago, and it is fair to say he can change…….  I would be cautious

If you don't allow people to change then it's very hard to improve society.

Personally, I Don't think it's wise allowing rags like the News of the world to lead on moral values.  Saw it myself in a pub with Ricky Hatton how journos work, and words cannot describe what utter scum they are. Absolute leeches.

Not saying JT is innocent on all counts of course, but at worst it's dumb level crap he's done -  in his 40's now.  People preach about acceptance, yet quite happy to hold grudges using red tops as judge and jury.

I don't give a toss what he did 10 years ago, if he can get us defending set pieces then get him in.
