InLambertWeTrust! 0 Posted February 22, 2006 thankyou jas! Danielle is probably a sad little man with no friends.I came on here to discuss Norwich not to be critisised for being younger. Danielle do u really think norwich want supporters like you!
A Load of Squit 6,260 Posted February 22, 2006 Jas, ''anyone who applies for the job''. I''ll sleep soundly knowing you''re not on the interview panel.
NimChimpskee 0 Posted February 22, 2006 This is one of my issues with the whole ''Worthy Out'' argument. There is absolutely no guarantee that we will be able to find an appropriate replacement that can do any better for us. I think Norwich are struggling at the moment, but many clubs do when they are first relegated. If we replaced Worthy, Norwich could play even worse than they are right now, and this message board could turn even nastier than it already has! I reckon that we don''t need anybody new just now, lets give the poor man a chance, I can see next season being far rosier for us.
Syteanric 1 Posted February 22, 2006 you do that squit... and whilst ur at it ponder the answer to the question i continually ask and which NO KTFer has yet answered regarding are u happy with the direction the club is going in?jas :)
Cantiaci Canary 610 Posted February 22, 2006 Completely agree with you NimChimpskee even if the Ipswich performace has lifted me on to the fence over this one. Lets not get too boyant over wins over two struggling teams! If Worthy has to go I would love to see Mark Bowen given the reins. OTBC

No, I''m not too happy with the direction the club is going in just now, but I have the belief that Worthy can turn things round. There you go - answered! Syteanric 1 Posted February 22, 2006 thanks for answering Nimschimpskee!!!! u clearly have the guts and conviction that certain other KTF''ers dont! im pleased u answerd the question... i have a feeling that others wont answer for fear of not sticking by worthy.. or perhaps labelling this decline as partly his fault... ergo they lose the "right" to slag us off???which brings me to another question... if u arent happy with things at present, given nigels Tactics, signings, and attitude towards players, who would u blame for this decline and how do u think it should be changed?jas :)
kev g 0 Posted February 22, 2006 I believe i have also answered this question. I am not very happy about this season but somehow i think it was expected we had big changes in personnel, everybodys chins were on the floor after fulham and we have struggled to recover. That said i cannot see any point in replacing Worthy because of a average season i think he deserves to finish the job he started i am sure he does not go out with a game plan to lose us the game If we had kept Helveg, Svennson, bentley etc we might be in the top 2 Then everybody would love Worthy but thats footballBut opinions are like backsides? everybody has one? arrdee 2 Posted February 22, 2006 Do you like this mish mass being played by good old nigel ? or did you like going to leeds ,cutting them to shreads and sticking 4 past them .or 5 past , everton , 4 past arsenal , Now how did you think this came about? was it just luck , or did we have a great coach ? well i can tell you his name is dave williams , he is at the club ,get him in now ,whats the matter with you ? NimChimpskee 0 Posted February 22, 2006 JasI wouldn''t blame anybody really, but a few things haven''t worked out as they might have this season. I think that, in the majority of cases of relegated teams, a period of low confidence is inevitable, which has obviously not counted in our favour. Relegated teams are always regarded by the rest of the Championship as the tough games, and so I think there has been element of teams raising their game for us. I think some people have short memories of how competitive the Championship can be. Injuries, I know every team has them, but they have played a big part in this season (especially McKenzie and Shackell). I think we tried to get through this season with a squad that''s not big enough, and because of injuries and an over-reliance on short-term loanees, we have never had one consistent starting eleven that has had the chance to gel. This, I believe is the main reason why we haven''t done as well as we might have hoped this season.Nigels tactics is an interesting one. As far as I can gather, these haven''t changed much from the tactics that saw us win the Championship and come so close to staying up not too long ago. However, if what you perceive as a ''better style of play'' means more to you than winning matches, then you have a point in wanting Worthy to go, because I don''t think his preffered style is going to change. I, however, don''t have a problem with the style of play that he endorses. As for the signings, I actually think that Nigel is a better player on the transfer market than most people give him credit for. Thinking not too long ago, Huckerby was a snip, McKenzie saw great vision, and Docherty has been transformed back into the rock that he was. I don''t think his summer signings were the best, but I quite liked the look of them at the time. I think Etuhu, Thorne and, yes even Hughes may still prove their worth next season, but I think that if we got promoted the season after, they would all find themselves out of their depth. However, January''s transfer dealings were mostly positive. I always thought that Ashton wasn''t going to be around for ever, and fair enough, even though we had to sell him, I think we got about as good a price for him as we could. I see Earnshaw as a fantastic replacement, and he''s already looking fitter and hungrier than Ashton ever did in my opinion. Robinson is a good addition to a struggling midfield, and I expect him to cement a starting place alongside Safri over the coming games if Hughes is injured. I think both January loan signings, JJ and Rehman have already proved excellent. Worthy may rely on loan signings a bit too much, but quality permanent signings can result (eg Huckerby, Robbo, JJ?). I would have liked Brennan to stay, but you can''t have everything!I don''t believe that Worthy has a bad attitude towards his players. He has probably had issues with some of his players this season because of some of the lacklustre performances, but every good manager would. I reckon that he has belief in the players that he signed (otherwise why would he sign them?), but holds the opinion that no player is bigger than the team, and lets his players know that (which I support).Overall, I know it''s been a disapointing season so far, but I really do think that the blame should not (at least not entirely) be placed on NW. With key players back from injury and Africa, hopefully we can establish a more consistent line-up in the future, that can read each others game and want to play well for each other. It''s not all that bad - chins up!

MadDan 0 Posted February 22, 2006 In response. I find it odd that this thread was started by someone called NCFCMAN1 the same name that started another thread, yet within a few hours it changes to norwich supporter 1.If someone is claiming that they are under 16 I think that other contributors should be made aware of the fact. If that claim is false then we are on pretty dodgy ground with someone masquarading as a minor.I think we should be told.
Tolerant Tom 0 Posted February 23, 2006 Yep - I''m happy with the direction the club are going in - UP, after the last 3 games. Who to replace Worthwhile, easy - McCarthy, Redknapp, Robson, Souness, Wise... the list is endless. More pressing than that though, who do we replace the miserable fans with, if only they really would NOT renew their season tickets, HA! some hope. Even the band played when the Titanic went down, were just leaking at the moment and the band''s stopped playing.
ZLF 335 Posted February 23, 2006 What has age got to do with it? Do we have to vet and approve every new poster on the site? Age, length of service, did you jump on the bandwagon, are you pro or anti worthy, are you anti club - do they only get restricted posting rights depending on the answers? Any intruder soon becomes apparent when they are not a true city fans as their views become clearer or they go away. Looking at NCFCMAN1 or whatever (and he/she are hardly the first to change their name). This is an open board for anyone to discuss city related topics - their age is not important to me, merely how they engage on this board. I dont agree with much of what Bethan Summerfireld posts but her contributions were passionate and welcome from me - we need a wide cross section of view, opinions from all section of society to keep this board thriving.Out of interest (moderators) can you say how may active users there currently are on this board? Syteanric 1 Posted February 23, 2006 i bet u thought we were on the up after those 5 wins over Xmas tom... shame really that we ended up back at good old Square 1 after 6 straight defeats... if we win saturday then it will be followed by 3 straight defeats.....Predictability from players who seem to not want to play for the man in charge.jas :)

"There is just one big file of people who have signed up for any of the message boards, so we can''t break it down into which board people use, or whether they are active or not. This is probably the busiest of any of the boards run by the whole of the company - although I believe one run by one of our other publications, France Magazine, is pretty active, too.Celia
