Frustrated by being overshadowed by the message boarders and hamstrung by Club/Press protocol does Rick actually vent his frustration by masquerading as ''The Rant?''

Seem implausible? Think about it....University boy...sits behind a keyboard all day....has a view on everything....lots of prompting.....full of handy statistics, fact, figures and historical resource material....never really gets personal in response to jibes...and can write in a journalistic style.

You have been unmasked Waghorn, you are ''The Rant.''  Is this where you get rid of your frustration? (I know I do).

I bet you were laughing your little socks off with your ''Waghorn for sports journo of the year'' mantra.

Only today Paul Rankin has managed to spell "unbeaten" with an "o", "about" as "abouit", "our" as "are", didn''t put an apostrophe in "haven''t" and has invented the new word "runk".

Did he study at De Montfort per chance?

The best thing about University these days is a handy spell checker in Word. Unfortuantely this board''s technology has that function.

The spell check wont notice that there is actually a difference between "our" and "are" however.
