Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted February 22, 2006 Frustrated by being overshadowed by the message boarders and hamstrung by Club/Press protocol does Rick actually vent his frustration by masquerading as ''The Rant?''Seem implausible? Think about it....University boy...sits behind a keyboard all day....has a view on everything....lots of prompting.....full of handy statistics, fact, figures and historical resource material....never really gets personal in response to jibes...and can write in a journalistic style. You have been unmasked Waghorn, you are ''The Rant.'' Is this where you get rid of your frustration? (I know I do).I bet you were laughing your little socks off with your ''Waghorn for sports journo of the year'' mantra.Well done Rick, you almost made it to 2000 posts before being discovered. gazzathegreat 0 Posted February 23, 2006 Rude Old, come on now, you are really clutching at straws here aren''t you?As I have met both of them, I can lay your fears to rest, Rick Waghorn is not Paul Rankin, or vice versa. But I am pretty sure you''re Neil Adams [;)]
Splendid Rush 0 Posted February 23, 2006 University boy!?Only today Paul Rankin has managed to spell "unbeaten" with an "o", "about" as "abouit", "our" as "are", didn''t put an apostrophe in "haven''t" and has invented the new word "runk".Did he study at De Montfort per chance? Cheeky Monkey 0 Posted February 23, 2006 The best thing about University these days is a handy spell checker in Word. Unfortuantely this board''s technology has that function.
Chunky Canary 0 Posted February 23, 2006 Paul, compose your message in Word, use the spell checker and then copy and paste onto this board.

AP16 0 Posted February 23, 2006 The spell check wont notice that there is actually a difference between "our" and "are" however.
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted February 23, 2006 Of course I''m not Adams, Gazza! Can''t you tell by the accent?
Fat Barman 0 Posted February 23, 2006 Paul Rankin wrote: I must admit my typeing is as bad as my spelling - especially when Post Pub Ranting!! I like people having pseudonyms on this board, particularly when they''re amusing/informative. I think Paul should change his user-name to... "Post Pub Ranting!!" - it sounds a bit like his real name and is soooo appropriate! [:D]By the way, I like the way Paul reads replies and allows his views to be changed by what he reads (occasionally!) as it shows him to be more reasonable and thoughtful than he can sometimes appear to be.
