It is a coach, not a manager

Recommended Posts

The person appointed will be one with a remit to oversee the coaching of the players at the club. He will naturally delegate a fair bit of the hands on stuff to others. But he will not be a manager in the sense of the likes of Bruce. That is why it makes no sense to suggest that it will be the likes of Lampard. Or any of his type.

Frank Lampard was the 'Head Coach' of Chelsea.

It is you that isn't making sense.

It's interesting because on the one hand Brexit has slammed the door shut on obscure foreigners used to working under a Sporting Director but on the other hand many British based options won't be comfortable with Webber sticking his oar in.

She is a director, part of the board. She is not a director of football, as would be understood.

She later became involved in transfers and contractual dealings for Chelsea, becoming the representative of the owner at the club in 2010, then joining the Chelsea board in June 2013.[3] In 2014, she was promoted to chief executive of the club.[5] The Times stated that the promotion made her the "most powerful woman in football."[6]

Her task of managing transfers sometimes put her at odds with managers who had their own ideas of whom to sell or buy during the transfer window.[7] She has also been responsible for brokering the team's sponsorship deal with Nike, that will fund £60m per year to the club until 2032.[8]

call her what you like she directs it all. Not to be messed with.

Point out the bit where it talks of her being a DoF. This woman is the club CEO.

She directs it all. I thing that is pretty clear. She deals with all transfers, loans you name it. Basically she will sack Tuchel when the time comes. Directs it all end of.

Yes, I think we all know what the responsibilities a CEO are. Now what about the DoF?

She decides which players join and which players leaves mate. Like Mentor said, she does it all.
