Sacked in the Morning

Recommended Posts

From transfer windows to formations, from man-management to getting the sack. Craig Levein and Amy Irons explore what it takes to survive as a football manager

A podcast from the BBC, only three episodes so far but interesting chats with Tony Pulis and Ian Holloway.

Not had a listen yet but I'm sure there are many on here who would enjoy.

So how do you know they are "interesting chats" if you haven't listened to them?

The podcasts have descriptions, you can read what its about without listening.

Just imagine, 2 minutes of Pulis discussing his last sacking followed swiftly by 58 minutes of him talking in depth about his new found love of knitting

I have just listened to the podcast with Pulis and it's great. Here is a link and play from about 10 mins:

I've listened to both Pulis and Holloway now, very entertaining! I'm surprised at the detail that they go into about incidents in there career, giving away all the man management secrets. Maybe they wont be going back into coaching.

Don't knock it before you've tried it.

I have found the series to be very amusing and a good listen.

Mind you, I still find it difficult understanding Paul Lambert at times.
