Trent Canary 0 Posted September 2, 2006
We''ve been poor this season, a failure in the Premiership last season, and yet people still think we''re going to do well NEXT season. Astounding.
I re-iterate, I apologise for being so optimistic. As far as im concerned we have played five games against poor opposition, and our squad looks ridiculously thin (A fact Im quite annoyed about, but Im sure my views have been repeated many times on here by other posters), but second place is still second place. And I think I was right in looking forward to this season. The two key things IMO are continuity, and keep on playing the way we are playing. We saw the potential last season against Southampton when we tore them apart playing the ball on the ground. Just one or two injuries and I can see us struggling. For now though, Im getting right behind the team and expecting nothing less than sixth place. I applaud Worthy and co for bringing in Hunter, and also bringing in Earnshaw, a player far too good for this division.
