Did Farke just get lucky?

Recommended Posts

Perhaps any manager with a buendia, pukki, cantwell, Aarons, Godfrey, etc, could get promoted?

Not his golden generation have gone, are over the hill, or having their third strop, has he been found out?

No, Farke didn't get lucky winning two championship titles.

And this is where the pathetic rewriting of history begins.

Let’s not start rewriting history because of where we are at now. Farke’s record at Championship level wasn’t luck.

Who is rewriting anything?

Is called a question.

Every manager said he had an embarrassment of riches.

So could any manger have done it? Is he as good as we thought?

No buendia, no cantwell, Aarons looking lost, pukki old, and we look awful.

Is it coincidence?

Of course not any other manager could win two championship titles in succession. Youre making it out like its easy. In which case Bournemouth should have easily gone up automatically last season, ahead of us, since they'd built a Premier League side over multiple seasons with hundreds of million spent.

There's countless other examples.

Be smarter.

No, he's an excellent Championship manager, one of the best the league has ever seen.

Sadly, he just doesn't seem to be able to adapt his skills and knowledge to have any kind of success in the Premier League.

The loss of Emi should not be underestimated. We barely won a game without him even at champ level so the decision to sell him was, in hindsight, disastrous.

The one game we did play well in without him was Forest away with Dowell in the hole but of course we’ve not even tried that formation at all this season.

No he didn't get lucky, what a ludicrous post. Same as he's not getting unlucky now. He knew how to manage in the Championship with the players he had at his disposal, he doesn't have the skill set to transfer that up a league.

No but he just did what many managers have done over the years.Win the second tier of English football. What we want is someone who can get us competing in the first tier. And he clearly can’t do that.

He won the Championship whilst reducing our wage budget and with a net gain in transfer spending. 18/19 was an utterly phenomenal achievement and bouncing straight back to the Premier League following relegation was no mean feat either.

So the answer to your question is no. A better question might be, on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being not very and 10 being extremely, how stupid is the idea Farke was lucky to win two Championship titles?

I'll start and say 9.5.

He certainly wasn't lucky as you can only manage the players you have at your disposal. I still doubt we would have done it without Buendia. Statistics can be misleading but the with and without Buendia stats are undeniable.
