during corners place a player on the D and place players on the back post, also free kicks place players on the back post

I can’t believe Newcastle won’t snap you up to replace Steve Bruce once they see the tactical genius you have going begging.

Nah, Normann was cramping up a bit. Made sense to get him off.

That would definitely be a positive, two draws in a row and two clean sheets. A base to work from

It’s like people have already forgotten the huge player turnover, what happened to our pre-season with Covid and our first five results. Also that Brighton had an excellent start to their season. We have to start to build our way out of the place we’re in, it’s not going to happen overnight. Yes, a win would be absolutely bl00dy brilliant, but a draw is still ok.

That post's a joke. Were you born retarded or did you have to practice?

Where that highly offensive to disabled and retarded people, I would suggest you re word that. Secondly would you like to counter the argument. How does subbing on a young striker for 3 or 4 minutes most games in anyway help us or his development?

Agreed. If Idah is the great hope why does he only get 88, 89, or 90th min appearances.

Tzolis must be wondering why he came

Why bring the lad on for stoppage time? Pathetic substitution.

Take that result and bank the one point. Proves we can battle with ugly teams like Burnley and Brighton. We even grew into this game and began to play in patches. Still a lot of work to do to improve but that is heading in the right direction and will give confidence to the team.

Two clean sheets in a row. Looking a bit more solid, but an area for concern is attacking set-pieces. We seemed to have a few good opportunities to load the box up and hit something dangerous, but corners often weren't beating the first man (an enduring problem regardless of who seems to be taking them) or crosses from deep or out wide were far too near the opposing goalie.

At least we don't seem to look like conceding on every counter-attack and the back three is working together better. We do look more durable down the centre of the park, but it has cost us some creativity.

I'll take a point though. It's a reminder to the lads that they can get points in this league. If we can't win, then don't lose. Confidence is embryonic, but it grows every time you avoid defeat and the lads will know they're getting closer.

Two draws, after 6 straight defeats is though a very good turn around. Defence now looking more solid, so we have to tweak the midfield and up front to find more creativity and goals
