Gary Doherty hasn't aged well.

To be fair that was true of Doc in his 20's...

To be fair, we all get names wrong. I once said that Billy Jean-King beat Bobby Sands in a tennis match.

Now that was almost as embarrassing as this thread.

I once asked what time midnight Mass was.

East Rider

How many NCFC football songs do you know or sing? I bet it's OTBC and Y' Army?

Thought so

Tons. Having been to matches since the mid/late 70s , I know tons, absolutely bags and bags of them. I have forgotten many though.

Seriously though, I agree we sing OTBC and y army a lot and some more variety, as we have had in the past, would be great. However, it will come as the season progresses.

Personally, I wish we would go back to the great tunes of 'you're going home in a Norfolk ambulance'  and you're going to get your fuc7ing head kicked in' a bit more

Can't please them all i suppose

Bertie Mee once said, to Bill Shankly,

Have you heard of the North Bank Highbury,

Shankly said no, I don't think so, but I've heard of the Norwich..... Barclay.

But I digress. Oh, those were the days...

....my friend, we thought they'd never end, we took them all, the big and small.....

Stop it.

LOL,that's on a par with shopping in Poundland and asking "How much is this?" 😄

Oy! This is my hero you're slagging off. The only professional player I've seen who appealed for offside from an opposition throw-in...

No. No we're not. On the other hand, you most definitely are.

Daft football  songs yield nothing and are excessively boring.  Nothing like a good old fashioned  crowd roar to urge the team on.

I was expecting this thread to be asking:

"What's more embarrassing, drawing 0-0 away to the (then) 2nd-bottom team in the Premier League or losing away to Accrington Stanley in League One ?"

I agree nothing better than OTBC sung loud before game and maybe start of 2nd half, but to sing 15 times during a match is embarrassing, original barclay boys will agree with me.

We had great songs, a lot of them you couldn't sing now without fear of getting a warning from the  ticket office! Much better variety. The songs the City fans sing now are sh.te! Perhaps we need a  new playlist

I once boo’d a ball boy then realised it was a little girl. Think I was pi55ed at the time. Nearly exiled myself to Suffolk.

Couldn't have helped though that it was a 0-0 and only the new players (Normann & Kabak) did anything of real note on the pitch.  I haven't been to an away match this season yet, so unaware if the new players have their "own" songs yet.  This probably led to the "oldest football anthem" being the predominant chant.

But you do wonder why they couldn't rehearse a few new songs on Cabbage buses on the way up - 5 hours on a coach must be dull enough without something to focus on.  One new song per trip should be minimum.🤔
