When is white history month ?

So you think we have to promote White History Month? Why is that when the whole point of Black History Month is to address rewriting of history without non white faces? Can you point to the massive racism / exclusion you get being white? Would really like to hear your explanation regarding this quote..

As many have said, it's most strange that Disco is not among the names. Came up through our youth system and was a massive part in some of our most successful seasons as a club. He was a bl00dy great player as well!

My mum and dad spoke to him at Norwich airport as he was leaving to go to Rangers. He said he didn't want to go but it was out of his hands.

"Skin 'im Dale!"

OTBC

Maybe they’re making a distinction between Black and BAME, which is a shame. Did Dale play down his Asian heritage, like Jimmy Carter, the ex Liverpool player.

Give it a rest. Someone who sees 'colour' and not 'the person' is the one with the problem.

The one with the problem is the one who sees colour and decides that the colour is wrong.

Two things I’ll add

> In my experience we’ve always had a very welcoming, inclusive fanbase. We are a nicey nicey club and that is ridiculed sometimes but discrimination is rare and if it does happen it’s shut out unbelievably quickly. I do genuinely believe we all want to come to the football and have a good time, this is good and should be always encouraged.

> The 10 guys highlighted are all great guys. We have a habit of attracting footballers who are just likeable people, this is a good thing and should be encouraged.

there’s literally no need to fight about this, why would you not celebrate good people?

Not sure I’d agree with always or at least we can’t talk about it universally.

I remember going to see a game at Carrow Road as a teenager, we were losing and some old bloke stood up at one point and threw abuse at a black player who scored and made a clearly racist statement.

I remember just being shocked and a few people had similar looks but no one said anything, including a steward who must have heard it. Most crazy thing for me thinking back is this was the River end and there were kids and families everywhere.

I’d like to think if that happened now he’d be rounded on and escorted out, that’s where I hope we are and that’s progress. Maybe the same guy wouldn’t say it nowadays either, I’d actually say that would be more progress personally.

Lets not pretend that, while I genuinely think our supporters are on average more tolerant, that nothings ever happened, I’m sure my personal anecdote isn’t the only one any supporter can recall. The main thing though is that it goes and stays gone.

No undertone of facetiousness intended by this but can you explain to me what the highlighted sentence means ?

When racist abuse is said online and fans are arrested and whatnot I do feel comfort knowing that it’s very unlikely to be Norwich fans and we should be proud of that. Nothing wrong with celebrating success, doesn’t mean anyone is denying discrimination has never happened ever. It clearly has. That’s why this debate keeps going round and round in circles. It’s a competition to see who’s the wokest. Just be a good person, it’s not particularly hard in my opinion.

Just wondering if there was such a month as would have lots of city nominations, Justin fashanu would be my choice as black icon and Duncan Forbes my white icon

That works both ways doesn't it?
