Out of interest TGS, do you know if they’ve changed the way that Becks is brewed recently? My wife used to drink it as it was the only beer/lager that she didn’t get an allergic reaction to, but now she gets it from that too.

The only thing that has changed in the brewing process of Becks is the reduction of the ABV in the UK market.

Did you enjoy it?

Peroni is the equivalent of carling in Italy. Their cheap accessible lager available from the supermarkets.

Yet in the UK, people perceive it as a lovely pint and pay the 2nd highest average price per pint for it (after Camden Hells). Funny what marketing can do to people's perceptions and minds 😄

It was free so it was fine 😁 it's not one I normally buy though.

Yep, never rated peroni, despite being told i'd like it. Much prefer Czech Beer. Staropramen being my current occasional.

Haven't got a clue mate. I really don't drink very often at all, and avoid Becks anyway. Sometimes you can end up with a water problem - reminded me of my time in eastern Germany when I drank my only bottle of Wernesgrüner Pilsner, which comes from the Erzgebirge region of Germany. So whilst it's often good mountain water, air pollution from the Czech Republic can sometimes render a batch a bit off. And I drank this thinking "I really like this one", kept it at one like I usually do, and had a head like Anthony Joshua had used it for target practice the next day.

That said, it will be brewed under licence here, I suspect.
