Now Off To Bookies

Recommended Posts

I am now off to the bookies to collect my 4/7 winnings on the Everton game.

Quite a tidy six-figure sum since I staked everything on the outcome.

So the one thing I would like to congratulate Delia for - her failings are making me much richer.

If it carries on like this I might have enough to launch a hostile takeover.

If it carries on much longer the odds on us losing will shorten to the point it will cost more in petrol (if you can get any) to go to the bookies to collect winnings than the actual winnings

Have Burnley fans started queuing yet to lump on?

Burnley fans have been sleeping in the streets to jump in on this one.

Dyche vs Farke is being seen as the biggest no-contest of all-time.

The Turf Moor turf is going to be littered with yellow feathers come 16.50 on Saturday.

Weak effort. Unlce Fred's top troll award isn't going anywhere any time soon with you producing garbage like this.

Try harder.

You see Vince you got us all on side with your amusing post Liverpool match report, and you've completely undone all that good work with this weak **** post.

I'm not angry fella, I'm very disappointed 😔

Yeah, I can just see a punter walking into the Bill Hills on the corner and staking £70k to win 40 and them accepting it....🤪

You'd struggle to get more than a few hundred on a horse.

Nothing to boast about, you'll be the loser eventually, especially with big bets on short odds.

Bill Hill had the Toffees at 8/13 when I last looked.

Poor ol' BV........always the loser. 😩

First rule of comedy Pig is keep it real. No bookie on earth would take a single odds on football bet so that the punter walked with a “six figure sum”.

Must try harder .

I found it hard to believe anyone still goes to the bookies anymore!

I do, as whilst I like a bet, I would find the online / apps too tempting.

Therefore my personal rule is if I want to place a bet i have to physically attend the shop to do so.

Works for me

...should've just placed the bet online, saves the hassle of the trip and dealing with the cash.

You'd be surprised.

Yeah, it isn't too good round there.

I hear some African countries are thinking about doing a fundraiser for Burnley

You'd know better than me Chris, but the Ladbrokes BAC would get twitchy at numbers much smaller than that and would be asking for all kinds of hoops to be jumped through by the punter to get it on.

Certainly more tricky now, especially for new customers.

But we regularly lay big football singles.

Just three days left to go in the industry then after 15 years, that's me done.

In order to win a six figure sum , which I take as £100,000 minimum in general parlance .

Everton were odds onto beat Norwich . Bet 365 had them at 3/5.

So  to go to the bookies and walk away with the said six figure sum , including your stake - by my reckoning Pig has strolled into the local Billy Hill (other bookies are available ) and laid down Circa. £31k . Have I got that right ?

If that’s the world you are in CDM then I bow to your experience. I’m more your £2 acca bloke .

£62,500 at 3/5 returns £100k including the stake.
