Which players of our current squad would get in to another…

Recommended Posts

Premiership starting 11

I’m genuinely interested to know who people think. And I’m talk of players at there level this season. Not in the future, a couple of years time or anything but now.

Aarons, Cantwell, Krul, Williams, Kabak. Possibly McLean and Hanley.

Too early to say about any of the new permanent signings.

My Watford friend and I have had this very conversation  after the Watford debacle. From them I said sarr as my obvious choice but sissoko for experience. His answer was Aarons but also said pukki as he feels he would love playing with Sarr. That was at this seasons level as well. From what I can tell most other teams supporters rate Pukki. He just doesn't fit the players we now have or the way we are trying to play.

Ok!

I can see Aarons although nobody seems interested in our valuation of him, likewise Cantwell. I’m questioning which teams would want the rest. And the last 2 made me think you have had a few beers this afternoon.

Absolutely not a cat in hells chance do either of these get into another Premier squad.

Aarons, Normann (on limited evidence), Giannoulis (in a back 5), Cantwell, Pukki

Both Sargent and Tzolis look a bit wet behind the ears at the moment but can see the quality is there. Same to a lesser extent with Rashica.

Krul would have had a shout before this season.

Tim Krul definetly, and possibly Cantwell. He would do well at a mid table club and springboard from there to a big 4 side.

We’re not even a team a player joins to use as a springboard anymore, we are just a Championship side punching above it’s weight, or to say it better one that is too good for the Champ, but not good enough for the Prem. We are a near copy of the Sunderland yo-yo side of the mid 2000s.

Krul  Aarons, Williams, Cantwell, Pukki  and probably Kabak since he was deemed good enough for Liverpool to sign and play.

No idea what other clubs not matching our valuation has to do with it. The fact they're interested at all gives you the answer.

Krul..I'm feeling Normann has potential. Todd and Aarons but seeing them as more bench players tbh.

I'm honestly struggling to think which keeper Krul would displace in this league? Again, not the be all and end all but Whoscored have him rated as the worst player in the league with 4 starts + so far. I'm expecting his future, when he leaves us, is to go and be second/third choice at a top 6 team due to his homegrown status.

I think Normann makes it in to some, Aarons too. Cantwell possibly.

Whoever said Hanley is clearly on drugs.

Omobamidele would be worth a punt for teams like Brighton,Everton etc.

What in their first 11 now as it stands? Brighton who go top if they win tomorrow!

None, they're all rubbish. League 1 standard at best.

Happy now? I am sure that's what you desperately want to hear.

Tzolis, Pukki, Cantwell, Aarons, Krul (better than Foster at Watford IMHO at least, poss Southampton as well, Palace even?).

I think PLM, Normann, Gilmour, Kabak and Sargent likely would as well.

Everybody saying Cantwell...

... Which team is he getting in exactly?

Because it won't be Leeds ahead of Raphinha, Harrison and James.

Of our permanent contracted players, at the moment I'd only really choose Aarons and Pukki.

Normann I've got a good feeling about, but he's a loanee.

Aarons is the last big saleable asset.

Gilmour (he's played for Chelsea).

6 minutes, 3 minutes, 1 minutes, 12 minutes, 8 minutes, 26 minutes.

That's 6 of his 11 Premier League appearances across two seasons.

The Gilmour that plays for Scotland is significantly better than the one that plays for Norwich (as is Hanley to be fair). He's used to having better players around him and utilised in a position that suits him.

I actually think quite a few of our players are underperforming under Farke this season.

You can't tell me who wouldn't get regular starts at Palace, Brighton etc etc.

So you think that it’s likely 10 of our players would get in to another starting premiership league 11!

Brighton have got Trossard as their playmaker though, and they've got Danny Welbeck out left?

I was thinking more starting XI's here really, rather than squad players.

Cantwell isn't getting named ahead of Trossard or Welbeck, and don't think they'd drop Solly March for him as he's a defensive winger, they play with one defensive winger like we used to with Elliott Bennett.

Palace have got Zaha, Olise and Eze!

I swear Cantwell is massively over rated by some fans, its a bit odd, chap struggled to get U21 caps and got dropped to the bench by the leagues whipping boys (that's us) a few games ago.
