simple reason why we lost today

Recommended Posts

Ipswich played the better football over the 90 minutes and have a good manager in Joe Royle, we had a few periods of good football and we have Worthy as our manager.  I think on the day Royle had certainly motivated his players to perform and we got the usual ---- from Worthy.  Earnshaw certainly needs to work on winning those high balls against the 6'' defenders.

Only a small protest outside the ground when I left, but I''m sure it will increase as the games go on.  Play offs forget it.

There you have it in a nutshell - Earnshaw, like Ashton, needs quality balls on the ground.

I''m getting seriously fed up with Worthy''s comments. ''Worthy bemoans poor passing'' - we can all see that we passed poorly today. You''re the manager Worthy - it''s your job to get the team playing passing football. Any idiot can see where we were poor today. Don''t bemoan it - do something about it or resign- NOW!!!!!!!!!!

as we wer saying at the protest "hoof To McVeigh, Hoof to mcveigh" and "Long ball long ball"

the reason the "passing is poor" is because Worthy thinks football is played in the sky!!!! Laughable!

we havent been a passing side in years! any idiot can see that

jas :)

The simple reason why we lost today is that we did not play football.  Whenever Hughes got the ball it was a long punt upfield - offside of course.  Robinson is no better.  It is about time that Worthington stopped making foolish comments and went.   The man who signed Etuhu ( or the invisible man) has proved he has not got a clue.  Neither has Delia and the rest of the Board.   Incidentally 150 people isn''t a small protest[:@]

Its not just hoofing. Its about a midfield that sits back and allows the oppo time and space to play, having no logical game plan or tactics.

The gap between the midfield and strikers gets biger each game - and its not helped by the back line moving backwards too - it was noticable that ipswich held a line 30-35 yards from goal where our natural tendency seems to be far deeper than that, occassionally on the 18 yd line - with the midfield just 5-10 yards in front of that  - far too compact and almost insists that the striker get a long ball as they stand so far away.

That is what they drill on the training ground - and has to change.

It was a joy to see some pass and movement at carrow road today - just a shame we havent seen that type of game for far too long from a team in yellow.

we were beaten by a fitter and younger team. in a nutshell they had YOUNG players who want to play not no good crap rejects from other championship teams like dickson whereru and hughes and robinson. they give youth a chance and that is something we should have done months ago! why the hell do we waste money on our academy when they dont get a chance?
